Grey’s Anatomy 6.11 Crossover Event Promo 2

December 30, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

The second promo for Grey’s Anatomy 6.11 is up at YouTube. As most of you know, the show returns all-new on January 14th and kicks off with a Private Practice crossover event during which Mark seeks Addison’s help in saving his daughter’s baby. This latest promo is more lighthearted than the first, but also spoilerish for those that don’t want to know the identity of the two characters that end up hooking up during the episode. Hopefully there’s a happy ending to it all. Though I suppose that’s all relative.

Are you guys excited about the return of Grey’s? It’s been long enough and I’m not sure the webisode has been very good at aiding with the withdrawal for most of us.

Seattle Grace: On Call Webisode Part 4

December 29, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

If you missed the latest installment of the Seattle Grace: On Call webisode, look no further. Watch it below.

If you don’t feel like watching it, here’s pretty much what happens: We pick up with Steve who’s very excited about buying Megan the super expensive crib she wanted. Meanwhile, Megan is busy stressing out about the paternity test she just took. And Charlie is failing hard at winning Reed’s affections, as she’s quite oblivious to his interest in her. Joe just wants someone to play some damn music in his bar so the customers don’t leave. And then Pierce spoils the paternity surprise by telling Steve that Megan took one. Alas, we’ll have to wait for the next episode to find out who the real father is. Dun dun dunnnn.

Kevin McKidd Sings A Sad Tune in Upcoming Webisode

December 29, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

26222m mckidd k b gr 01Coming up on the January 21 finale of the Grey’s Anatomy webisode Seattle Grace: On Call is a short cameo appearance by Kevin McKidd himself. And it sounds like Owen will be singing a sad song which ties – very loosely – to the Grey’s episode airing earlier that night.

Don’t worry too much, though, Owen and Cristina fans. I’m sure they’ll have a happy ending eventually. Maybe. Hopefully.

But what of the song that McKidd will be singing? “Initially they asked me to write something,” Kevin McKidd told Fancast, “and I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m going to sit on network television and sing a song I wrote in my bedroom.’” But wouldn’t that have been awesome? lol Well, we can’t really blame him. I wouldn’t want to do that either.

One Grey’s Leading Lady Is Getting a Hair Color Change

December 28, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

91209X3 POMPEO B-GR 01Only a few more weeks until Grey’s Anatomy returns, at last. So while we’re all waiting around for January 14 to get here, why not play a little game? Shonda Rhimes has dropped the following tidbit into the pool of speculation pool: Either Meredith, Lexie or Callie will be getting a hair color change as a surprise for their lover.

The answer won’t be revealed until the Valentine’s Day episode in February, so we’ve got plenty of time to stir the pot with guesses. Do you think it will be Meredith (Ellen Pompeo)? Lexie (Chyler Leigh)? Callie (Sara Ramirez)? And what color? And who do you hope it won’t be? Personally, I’m hoping Callie doesn’t go blonde.

Exciting news? Or potentially terrifying? You decide! Drop your thoughts in the comments.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 6 Spoilers: MerDer, Cristina/Owen

December 23, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

15113pcn Greys07Fancast has a couple of early holiday presents for us that enjoy spoilers. If you’ve been wondering whether or not Ellen Pompeo’s return from maternity leave means more Meredith/Derek screen time, the answer is both yes and no. Though of course Pompeo’s return to the series full-time means more Meredith, the on-going drama between McDreamy and the Chief will undoubtedly bleed into his relationship with Meredith. Derek seeks an outsider’s perspective on the situation and settles on Owen as an unbiased voice of wisdom.

According to Kevin McKidd, “Derek feels like he’s kind of in a vacuum, and he needs another set of eyes on the problem. Sometimes you need an outside view to determine if you’re on the right track or not, and Owen provides Derek that service in a way.” Let’s hope the war vet can set McDreamy on the right path back to happy MerDer time. Though as we know from Shonda Rhimes, happiness makes for boring television, so expect the drama to be both ever-going and ever-changing.

In other news, McKidd dropped another (albeit vague) whopper with regards to the January 14 episode: “In the next couple of episodes there are some pretty explosive things that happen. Almost straight out of the gate, big things happen.”

What big things could these be? Thoughts? Ideas? Drop them in the comments!

Grey’s Anatomy 6.11 Promotional Photos

December 22, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

If you’re feeling impatient about Grey’s Anatomy’s return, here’s a video slideshow with photos from the crossover episode premiering on January 14. The crossover episode will feature some of the Private Practice cast (Addison, Pete) paying Seattle Grace a visit to help with a patient. In true Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice tradition, drama ensues. Seems like the doctors can’t agree on what they’re doing. Expect things to get complicated and hairy, but hopefully with a happy ending.

Grey’s Anatomy 6.11 Private Practice 3.11 Crossover Promo

December 22, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

Grey’s Anatomy returns all-new on January 14 at its usual time and place, and they’re starting the new year with a bang in the form of a Private Practice crossover episode. Mark calls Addison to come work her medical magic and help save an innocent life, and what starts out as a simple request turns into lots of drama at Seattle Grace. Way too many cooks in the kitchen, it sounds like. Hopefully, despite all those heads bumping into each other, they’ll still manage to save that baby.

TV Guide Names Sara Ramirez Best Performance of 2009

December 21, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

21257PCN Villa07The end of the year is almost upon us, which means many media outlets are handing out “best (and worst) of the year” awards left and right. TV Guide is the latest in announcing their picks for best and worst of 2009 and the beloved Sara Ramirez has caught their eye and won their hearts over with her portrayal of Callie Torres.

As much as we’ve loved Callie all along, it seems like the character has really hit her stride this past year. Her relationship with Arizona is winning people over and getting thumbs up signs from the critics and viewers. Of course there will always be naysayers, but who can deny that Callie is wonderful?

Not TV Guide, that’s for certain, as they’ve named her the Best Performance of the Year.

Congratulations, Sara Ramirez. It’s well-deserved! If you want to see the reasons for their selection, as well as other 2009 winners, head on over to TV Guide.

Bailey Gets a Love Interest (Spoilers)

December 18, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

28049PCN naacp22If you’ve been concerned for Dr. Bailey’s lack of a love life on Grey’s Anatomy, Shonda Rhimes has dropped news of an upcoming storyline that should have many Bailey fans cheering. According to the Executive Producer, Bailey will be getting a new love interest, played by actor Jason George.

If you watch the now-canceled Eastwick you’ll undoubtedly recognize George as journalist hottie Max Brody. On Grey’s Anatomy he’ll be playing an anesthesiologist named Ben Warren who wins Bailey’s heart.

“We’re excited that Dr. Bailey’s going ot be getting a little bit of loving,” Rhimes told TV Guide. “When we first read her pages with Jason in the read-thru, all our actors went, ‘Oooo.’ It’s really cute to see Bailey get some attention.” It’s also about time that Bailey got some cheerful news.

Don’t expect the romance to be love at first sight, though. It seems that Bailey and Warren don’t necessarily get along right off the bat. But Bailey “learns” to like him.

There’s no word on whether Jason George might become a permanent fixture in Seattle Grace, though it sounds like the option is there somewhere depending on how things pan out for the couple.

Look for this storyline sometime in mid-February. Happy early Valentines’!

Grey’s Anatomy Casting Call Episode 6.15 (Spoilers)

December 17, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

60819a1 burton k b gr 02A couple of casting calls for upcoming episode 6.15 points to flashbacks involving a young Richard and Ellis. The casting call for the episode seeks an actor to play “Young Richard” and should be male, African-American, mid to late 20s, and must look like actor James Pickens Jr. The “Young Ellis” must be female, caucasian, mid to late 20s, and must look like actress Kate Burton.

As we know, the Chief has an alcoholism problem that will likely only get worse before it gets better. Perhaps episode 6.15 will shed some light on Richard’s demons and maybe throw a big twist our way?

We can only wait and see.

On a related note, if you missed it, Kate Burton guest starred in this week’s episode of The Good Wife. It was great to see her again!
