Justin Chambers dropped by Good Morning America to talk about the 100th episode of Grey’s Anatomy. He didn’t reveal anything beyond, “It’s Meredith and Derek’s wedding day.” Key word: Day. They show one of the clips from the sneak peeks I posted yesterday. And as a bonus you get a clip of his kids playing music. They have a band!

In the latest edition of Ausiello TV, Michael Ausiello dropped a bit of a spoiler at the end with regards to MerDer and the season finale. Now it’s not a “major spoiler” being that he didn’t actually say what is happening, but he did hint strongly at something positive going on with our favorite couple in the last episode of season five.

“I’m off to the big wedding – wait, what was that? There’s been a change of plans? Someone else is getting married … shocker … who? … aww, sounds romantic. Well, let me just ask you: Derek and Meredith fans – are they going to be pissed? Oh… in the finale … nice, nice … well, I’m going to get going…”

And that’s all he said. Exchange your drama-protection hats for speculation-hats and drop your thoughts in the comments. What do you think is happening in the finale?

We’re down to two more days of waiting before the landmark 100th episode of our beloved Grey’s Anatomy. We don’t know everything about it yet, but we can probably guess that it’s going to be charming and funny and heartbreaking all at the same time – because that’s what Grey’s Anatomy does best.

ABC has released another promotional video for Thurday’s episode (5.22 “What a Difference a Day Makes”) and it’s making me feel all the more impatient.

The clip focuses heavily on the MerDer wedding, which has always been the focus of the episode. But then we get a hint of the darker, more heartwrenching part of what’s going to happen and as we could’ve probably predicted, it’s all about Izzie. Meanwhile, Cristina and Owen have a really sweet moment in there too.

Is it Thursday yet?

It’s Sara Ramirez’s turn in the hot seat, as she prepares to answer some pressing viewer questions.

Here’s the lowdown of what she’s asked:

• Is Callie ever going to sing on the show?
• What lies ahead for Callie and Arizona?
• How do you think Callie’s parents will react to her dating a woman?
• Will the friendship between Callie and Mark ever become more?
• What is it like filming love scenes in front of the entire crew?

I love Sara Ramirez so much! And it’s a huge treat to see her answering questions about Callie and the show.

For those who can’t see the video, here’s a few highlights:

• Some scenes of Callie singing have been shot, but have all been cut for various reasons. But there’s always talk of shooting more. Maybe one will stick!
• The writers are taking Callie and Arizona one episode at a time, so she doesn’t know what lies ahead. But she hopes for all the best for them.
• She doesn’t know if Callie and Mark will ever become more, but she loves them together so perhaps in the future. That said, she loves the idea that a man and woman can be such good friends and such equals.
• Filming love scenes in front of the crew can often be “comical.”

The 100th episode of Grey’s Anatomy is only in a few days, which means the long-awaited Meredith/Derek wedding is almost here. Or is it? Well, we’ll find out on Thursday night. In the meantime, the whole of Seattle Grace is in preparations for the big day. Everyone’s got the dresses, the flowers are ready, and Izzie has proven herself to be the world’s best wedding planner, ever.

This week’s Ausiello didn’t bring huge amounts of spoilers in the way of Grey’s Anatomy. It did, however, bring some good news for Arizona fans: Jessica Capshaw is coming back next season! And not only that, she’s in the process of signing on to be a full-on series regular. Yay! We knew it was a possibility, and now it’s getting to be pretty near official.

Alas, we still don’t know if Izzie and/or George come back next season, and must continue the long, painful wait for answers.

But for you Katherine Heigl fans, there’s this from Sharon Lawrence (she who plays Izzie’s mom in tonight’s episode). I’m going to quote it in its entirety because it’s flattering and nice. On the subject of her first day on the set of Grey’s, she has this to say on the subject of Heigl:

“The first thing I did was barge in and hug her,” Lawrence explains with a laugh. “I could tell right away she was present and not guarded. We got to know each other as the day went on, because we would have time to talk about other things while we were waiting to work. It’s an odd thing we do for a living. Sometimes you have to get very close to somebody right away. That’s why I was so grateful for her openness and warmth, and it’s because of that that we were able to make physical and emotional choices that really conveyed the intimacy these two had. She is such an honest and open actress. There is not an untrue bone in her body as an actor, and it made my job so easy.”

Further proof that Katherine Heigl is awesome.
