ABC’s Stephen McPherson on Heigl and the Future of Grey’s
August 10, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz
During the 2009 Summer Press Tour, ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson spoke briefly about Grey’s Anatomy, stating that the show is “evolving” and that Shonda Rhimes “hit her stride” at the end of season five. So far, McPherson and the rest of the ABC suits seem to be “happy” with what they’ve seen of season six, which for us can mean just about anything. But hopefully good things!
In terms of what’s to come next season (avert your eyes if you don’t want to know anything!) he stated that the show would be seeing a few additions to the cast (interns …read more

July 27, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz
By now I’m fairly certain that anyone that keeps up with Grey’s Anatomy news between and during seasons is aware that T.R. Knight has officially left the show.
We knew, too, that Shonda Rhimes stated around the time of the announcement that she really wanted T.R. Knight to come back to film an episode of season six, but that Knight declined the offer. This left us wondering what exactly Rhimes might’ve wanted to film and whether it meant that George had a chance of survival, or not.
Well we now know for certain exactly why Shonda Rhimes wanted T.R. Knight back and …read more
More on the Denny/George Elevator Switch
July 20, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz
So last week, Michael Ausiello revealed that it was originally supposed to be Denny outside the elevator doors, not George, at the end of the season five finale. The realization that it should’ve been George struck Shonda Rhimes after production had wrapped for the season, which left her with a couple of obstacles to overcome if she wanted the new ending. Ausiello left us hanging, telling us to check out the printed EW issue for more info, but then he went ahead and gave us the details on his column anyway.
So, the first obstacle was the fact that T.R. Knight …read more
New Details About Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 Finale
July 16, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz
So, this is certainly not a spoiler (unless you haven’t seen last season’s finale, in which case, shoo… ), but it’s definitely pretty interesting. During his latest Ask Ausiello column, Michael Ausiello revealed some details about the season five finale that most of us probably didn’t know. The details pertain to the heavenly-elevator scene where we see Izzie in the elevator and George standing outside of it.
According to Ausiello, the scene was originally shot with Denny standing in George’s place. But Shonda Rhimes had a last minute epiphany that it should be George not Denny standing there.
Since production had wrapped …read more
