Grey’s Anatomy Sneak Peek 5.15 ‘Before and After’ - Callie and Addison
February 10, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz
It’s really great to see Addison around the Grey’s Anatomy cast again. She’s hands down the character I miss the most on the show. And sure, sure’s on Private Practice but … it’s not the same!
Ausiello posted a clip from the upcoming episode “Before and After” featuring two of my favorite characters: Callie and Addison.
Those of you interested knowing what’s going on with Callie/Arizona relationship will probably want to watch this!

Kate Walsh Counterfiles for Divorce
December 30, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Looks like the divorce is a go for Kate Walsh and soon-to-be-ex-husband Alex Young.
Young filed for divorce back in November, stating that their split date was November 22. Now Kate Walsh has filed her own papers, but states that they split five days earlier, on November 17.
There doesn’t seem to be any apparent reason for the discrepancy, but despite any issues with the actual dates they both seem to be in accordance that the marriage is over.
Their reasons for divorce is cited as “irreconcilable differences,” which can mean just about anything.
According to sources at TMZ, neither is seeking spousal support.

Kate Walsh Promises Stronger Addison
September 5, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
The cast and crew of Private Practice seem to be working overtime in promoting the second season. I can’t decide if it’s because they’re worried the show is going to crash and burn or if it’s that they’re genuinely excited about the show’s progression (perhaps both?) I’m hoping the show continues on for ever and ever, as I love Addison and want to see her live long and prosper; even if it’s only within the magical world inside my TV.
The lovely Kate Walsh sat down with People to discuss the second season and many promises abound for the return of the show. The actress mentioned the return of “strong Addison.” I imagine she’s referring to a new and improved emotionally strong Addison, rather than the sudden introduction of a Hulk-like, building-crushing Addison (as titillating as that might be for a minute or two).
But no, Walsh reveals that Addison has “found her footing” at least professionally. In terms of her personal life she’ll remain “conflicted and vulnerable.” But that doesn’t mean she won’t find happiness. As I mentioned before, David Sutcliffe is set to sweep Addison off her conflicted and vulnerable feet. At least for eleven episodes or so.
Look for the premiere of Private Practice on October 1.

Kate Walsh on Jimmy Kimmel Live
July 23, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Kate Walsh showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week wearing nothing but a towel. She tells an interesting story as to why she’s wearing a towel instead of the dress she planned to wear. She also discusses life after marriage.
Kate Walsh is entirely awesome. I really hope they bring her back to Grey’s Anatomy for an episode or two next season.
Kate Walsh Shows Much Love for Animal Rescue
July 21, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
The second annual Bow Wow WOW! fundraiser was held this past Saturday at the Playboy Mansion and Kate Walsh was in attendance, showing support for Much Love Animal Rescue. Much Love is a 100% nonprofit, no-kill organization dedicated to reducing the overpopulation, abuse and neglect of domestic animals. They’ve been in operation since 2000 and have placed over 2,000 animals in loving homes.

Addison’s New Love Life in Private Practice

In an interview with People Magazine, ex-Grey’s Anatomy actress Kate Walsh said that next season of Private Practice is going to be juicier than ever. Addison will be ready to explore the single life.
“You’ll see Addison dating,” she recently told People. “There’s a lot of conflict and still that kind o fmad and sick balance of comedy and drama that [series creator] Shonda [Rhimes] is such an expert at delivering.”
We’ll see more of her pairing with Gilmore Girls’ David Sutcliffe, which she describes as “so fun.” Moreover, Addison will be coming back stronger and more well-balanced, as she’s adjusting (at last) to the big move to California. As Kate Walsh puts it, Addison will be getting “her groove back.”
Kate Walsh also mentioned that her return to the Grey’s Anatomy set was “disorienting, but it was also fun,” and that she thinks having any of the Grey’s Anatomy folk on Private Practice would be “a fun idea.” That doesn’t mean it will ever happen, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more crossovers.
Are you looking forward to the second season of Private Practice or have you given up hope on it? I admit the first season didn’t make me want to jump for joy or anything, but I’m optimistic about the second.

After a taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Show, ex-Grey’s Anatomy and now Private Practice star Kate Walsh took a moment to sign some autographs and meet with fans outside the studio. A devoted fan was gracious enough to upload the video of it all so we can pretend we were there.
Isaiah Washington and Kate Walsh Comment on Katherine Heigl’s Statements
June 18, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Ex-Grey’s Anatomy stars, Kate Walsh and Isaiah Washington were asked about their thoughts regarding Katherine Heigl’s recent no-Emmy decision and her comments regarding the writers. Their responses were pretty generic and they boiled down to … well absolutely nothing concrete. Isaiah Washington says he understands “both sides” and Kate Walsh loves “going to work every day.” It’s pretty clear neither wanted to say too much.
I thought it was rather interesting that Washington said that he wants to “help out” in any way he can and that he’s “open to it.” Whatever “it” is. Does that mean he’s open to taking Katherine Heigl’s spot if she gets written off the show? Heh.

Kate Walsh Shows Political Support for Obama
June 5, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Kate Walsh has come forward as an enthusiastic Barack Obama supporter and now that it looks like the first time senator will take the Democratic presidential nomination, the Private Practice/Grey’s Anatomy actress has reason to celebrate.
Recently she told US Magazine, “I think this is a great movement in American history. The American people want a change in their government and Barack Obama is the best person to lead and serve and bring about the real changes people want. I am thrilled.”
Being that politics is such a hot issue, I find it interesting when celebrities are vocal about their support for one candidate over the other. Do you think it’s a good thing when celebrities are open about the people they’re voting for or do you think they should keep their voting choices to themselves? Or do you think it doesn’t matter?
