E! Online posted a couple of sneak peeks from this week’s Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. Unfortunately, the Grey’s Anatomy one is pretty much the same one I posted the other day. But if you haven’t seen it yet or wish to see it again in a different video box, I won’t begrudge you the experience. Here you go:

The Private Practice sneak peek doesn’t have any of the Grey’s people in it, but it does have my favorite vengeance demon in the whole wide (TV) world: Anya. Well, not Anya so much as Emma Caulfield. And Addison has some troubling news for her…

(I blame the bunnies).

The conclusion to the Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover is coming up this week, starting at 9/8c on ABC.

Savor it good, my friends, because there’s no new GA until March 12 after that. Grr argh.

Whether they thought it was awesome or disappointing, it seems people still tuned in to watch the big Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover extravaganza last Thursday.

According to the ratings, our show managed to narrow the ratings gap against its biggest competitor, CSI. Grey’s scored 15.1 million viewers to CSI’s 17.8. And Private Practice hit an all time high among 18-49 -year olds with 14.2 million viewers.

Not bad.

It would seem all the hype and publicity paid off for ABC. Let’s see how many people return for the next part of the crossover.

It’s really great to see Addison around the Grey’s Anatomy cast again. She’s hands down the character I miss the most on the show. And sure, sure’s on Private Practice but … it’s not the same!

Ausiello posted a clip from the upcoming episode “Before and After” featuring two of my favorite characters: Callie and Addison.

Those of you interested knowing what’s going on with Callie/Arizona relationship will probably want to watch this!

I’m a huge Broadway fan, so you’ll have to excuse my fangirl “squee” moment at learning that Idina Menzel (Rent, Wicked) will be joining her real-life husband (Taye Diggs) in an episode of Private Practice.

News from TV Guide reveals that there might be some sparks flying between Menzel’s character and Pete’s. She’ll be playing the mother of a patient. Not a lot of specific details yet, but I’m excited all the same.

The episode is slated for later on this season. And I, for one, can’t wait!

The storyline for the Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover was set in motion at the end of Grey’s Anatomy, but both shows remained pretty independent of each other. It looks like the real crossover will begin next week.

Here’s what happened during last night’s Grey’s Anatomy episode “Beat Your Heart Out”:

Denny seems to have officially walked into the light (hopefully for good?) and Izzie is left trying to figure out what might be wrong with her. At the beginning of the episode she’s seen trying to draw her own blood. She’s interrupted by the arrival of her interns.

Meanwhile, Cristina walks into the on-call room to find Owen sleeping and he jumps and she jumps and they both try to ignore the sexual tension while simultaneously adding to it. Owen tells Cristina that she should wear her hair up more often because he likes the back of her neck.

I think my major question is: What’s going on with Callie’s hair? Not sure how I feel about those bangs.

I’ve seen a few questions regarding the Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover extravaganza and here’s what I’ve come to understand about what’s going down:

The storyline for the crossover begins during the February 5 episode of Private Practice (after Grey’s airs ‘Beat Your Heart Out’). According to ABC, Addison seeks Derek’s help when her brother suffers a seizure. The storyline continues the week after with the Grey’s episode ‘Before and After’. This storyline will also continue into the February 19 episodes.

That’s three weeks of crossover goodness right there.

In short: the crossover does start next week (Feb 5), but it starts with Private Practice and not Grey’s. So be sure to catch both shows.

Grey’s returns all new in two weeks, and I’m sure it will be worth the wait as episode 5.14 “Beat Your Heart Out” marks the start of the long-awaited crossover between Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. Addison’s baaaack!

Can’t wait. Alas, wait is what we must do. Thankfully, there’s already a promo for us to watch.
