Sandra Oh Discusses Grey’s/Private Practice Crossover
December 5, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Those of you that have been hoping for a Grey’s/Private Practice crossover extravaganza will be getting your wish - in February! Sandra Oh took some time to discuss the “Crossover crazy!” with People.
“It has to do with Addison,” Oh said. Looks like Dr. Montgomery will be hitting the Seattle Grace OR once again and McDreamy might be headed to the Oceanside Wellness Center. And perhaps even the Chief will be making his way over as well.
And it’s planned to be multiple episodes!
Moving on to her romance with Dr. Hunt, Oh says that, “It’s a nice, slow romance. A lot of time people on Grey’s get together quickly, but that’s not the case here. It’s nice to be able to see a relationship develop and grow.”
I’m sure people will enjoy that too. The “getting together” portion of any romance is usually more interesting than what comes after.
So what do you guys think of the whole crossover idea? Awesome? Not so awesome? I’m looking forward to it. Having Addison on Grey’s is always something that makes me happy.

Sandra Oh at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards
September 23, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
I was disappointed that Grey’s Anatomy didn’t win at the Emmys. It would’ve been nice to see Sandra Oh or Chandra Wilson go home with the statue, but there’s always next year, and maybe Katherine Heigl will like her storyline enough this year to stay in the running.
All the same, here’s some pictures of the lovely Sandra Oh at the Emmys on Sunday night.
I think she looked lovely!

Sandra Oh Is Converting the Grey’s Cast to Veganism
August 21, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Sandra Oh is having much success in convincing some of her Grey’s Anatomy cast members to switch to more animal-friendly menus. Her plan included inviting some of the actors to dine with her at Truly Vegan, a Hollywood hotspot for the vegan crowd.
The actors were immediately shocked to find that they not ony liked the food, but also loved it. Something Oh was decidedly happy about as she’d been trying to get her cast members to drop meat from their diets.
“Ellen Pompeo has gone to Truly Vegan half a dozen times since trying the food,” a source says of Oh’s co-star. And McDreamy may also have a hand in making animal-friendly eating sexy. “Patrick Dempsey enjoyed the chocolate vegan cake.”
Chocolate vegan cake. That sounds pretty good, actually.

Sandra Oh to Guest Star on Sesame Street
August 13, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Even if you feel like you’re too old for Sesame Street, you’re not. And with the new season of Sesame Street premiering on PBS this week, you now have even more reasons to tune in regardless of your age or whether or not you have a good excuse (like children).
Guest stars for the 39th season of Sesame Street include Neil Patrick Harris, Will Arnett, Feist, LL Cool J, Johah Hill, Molly Shannon, Jessica Alba, and many more.
But most importantly, it will include a guest appearance by Grey’s Anatomy’s own Sandra Oh. I don’t have a specific date yet for her appearance, but as soon as I hear about it, I’ll pass it on.
In the meantime, there’s the show’s new website to entertain you.
And a video of Feist’s appearance. Don’t forget to sing along.
Enjoy!

60th Annual Emmy Nominations
July 17, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Well, last week I posted some information about the finalists in the Emmy nominations list, as well as leaked information from the judges tables to give us a better idea who might and might not make the finals. Today the nominations are in, and we’re in for a couple of surprises.
Greys Anatomy did not make the nominees list for Outstanding Drama Series. I mentioned in my post that it sounded like it would be an either or situation for Lost and Grey’s Anatomy and it looks like Lost won after all. While I mentioned that both Dexter and Friday Night Lights wouldn’t be there, Dexter did make the final cut after all.
Grey’s Anatomy and the Emmys
July 7, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Information has started leaking from the Emmy judges and the Los Angeles Times has managed to scoop up all the latest news and leaks from the Academy side of things. According to secret sources, while Grey’s Anatomy is certainly in the running for a Best Drama nomination, it’s apparently “on the bubble” and could be bumped out by either Lost or The Wire.
This is sad news for Grey’s Anatomy and Lost fans as I’m sure a lot of us would love to see both shows get a nod. But at the moment it’s looking like it’s an either or situation. However, it also looks like Grey’s Anatomy is the more popular choice for a nomination so it’s likely that the final nominations will be as follows:
Sandra Oh’s New Film: Blindness
July 5, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Sandra Oh has been a little busier than simply supporting SAG and speaking at theatre festivals, she’s actually been filming during her break from Grey’s Anatomy. Sandra Oh stars in Blindness, the latest film from Academy Award Nominated director, Fernando Meirelles. The film is based on the Nobel Prize winning novel by Jose Saramago, and also stars Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Danny Glover, and a plethora of other names and faces you’re bound to know and love.
The plot centers around an epidemic of blindness that affects a city and the conditions and consequences this has on the people involved. Sandra Oh will be playing the Minister of Health who orders that the infected people be quarantined.
Now comes the big question: read the book first or wait for the movie?
Check out the trailer for the film below. I’m really looking forward to watching this and not simply because Sandra Oh is in it. Though, of course, that’s a big bonus!
