T.R Knight Wants a Baby

T.R Knight Wants a Baby

Babies! Babies everywhere. There must’ve been something in the Grey’s Anatomy set water last season because babies are popping up all over the place. We’ve got pregnancies and adoptions galore. And now T.R. Knight has confessed to Ellen DeGeneres during an interview that he wants a baby, too.
That said, it sounds like this is a fairly recent development and not something secretly in the works for months and months (like Heigl’s adoption). He stated during the interview, “I don’t know if it’s going to end up working out, but that would be something I would like.”
That said, he did admit …read more

Greys Anatomy Season 6 Premiere

Season 6 of Grey’s Anatomy has finally begun! We have been waiting patiently all summer long to have some our questions answered, and waiting to see how the story plot thickens.  Does Izzy die? Does George die? Was that really George who jumped in front of the bus? We found out all of this last night during the 2 hour season finale.
I think the biggest question of all was whether or not Izzy lives. It was a pretty sure deal to say that George had already died because we all knew through the media that he was getting off the …read more

George Spoilers and the Story We Won’t Get to See

By now I’m fairly certain that anyone that keeps up with Grey’s Anatomy news between and during seasons is aware that T.R. Knight has officially left the show.
We knew, too, that Shonda Rhimes stated around the time of the announcement that she really wanted T.R. Knight to come back to film an episode of season six, but that Knight declined the offer. This left us wondering what exactly Rhimes might’ve wanted to film and whether it meant that George had a chance of survival, or not.
Well we now know for certain exactly why Shonda Rhimes wanted T.R. Knight back and …read more

T.R. Knight On Why He Left Grey’s Anatomy

If you’re anywhere near a magazine stand tomorrow – July 24 – make sure you pick up a copy of Entertainment Weekly. On the cover: T.R. Knight. And inside the cover, there’s an interview with T.R. Knight about the real truth of why he left Grey’s Anatomy and what happened behind the scenes to make him want to leave forever.
Michael Ausiello posted a few sneak peeks of the article in question. This past season – season 5 – George’s screen time in the first nine episodes was atrocious. His total screen time for those nine episodes totaled 48 minutes, which …read more

E! Online Interview with Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl sat down with E! Online to discuss her big return to Grey’s and the fact that T.R. Knight isn’t returning to Grey’s and just how she feels about it all. It’s a fairly short clip, but we learn a lot from it.
For example: Heigl has known for a year now that she’d be returning next year. She’s also known for a year that T.R. Knight would not be returning for season six. She also admitted that she was surprised that ABC/Shonda Rhimes had let the cat out of the bag already since they’re all about the …read more

More on the Denny/George Elevator Switch

So last week, Michael Ausiello revealed that it was originally supposed to be Denny outside the elevator doors, not George, at the end of the season five finale. The realization that it should’ve been George struck Shonda Rhimes after production had wrapped for the season, which left her with a couple of obstacles to overcome if she wanted the new ending. Ausiello left us hanging, telling us to check out the printed EW issue for more info, but then he went ahead and gave us the details on his column anyway.
So, the first obstacle was the fact that T.R. Knight …read more

New Details About Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 Finale

So, this is certainly not a spoiler (unless you haven’t seen last season’s finale, in which case, shoo… ), but it’s definitely pretty interesting. During his latest Ask Ausiello column, Michael Ausiello revealed some details about the season five finale that most of us probably didn’t know. The details pertain to the heavenly-elevator scene where we see Izzie in the elevator and George standing outside of it.
According to Ausiello, the scene was originally shot with Denny standing in George’s place. But Shonda Rhimes had a last minute epiphany that it should be George not Denny standing there.
Since production had wrapped …read more

T.R. Knight Officially Heads to Broadway

The rumors were there when we posted about T.R. Knight’s unfortunate departure from Grey’s Anatomy, but Ausiello has now officially confirmed that George is headed off to Broadway. Knight has signed on to star in the Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor.
There’s not a lot of information about the play quite yet, as additional casting is still unnanounced. But we know that T.R. Knight will be playing the role of Max and that Stanley Tucci will be directing. You might recognize some of his work in Kiss of Death, Big Night and Road to Perdition. If you missed those, …read more

It’s Official: Katherine Heigl to Remain on Grey’s Anatomy

On the heels of the tragic news that T.R. Knight is leaving Seattle Grace (probably for good), comes the really great news that Katherine Heigl is staying on. What does this mean for season six? Well, there’s no guarantees of anything when it comes to the storyline and what happens to the characters, but actors leaving and staying on is usually a good indication about what happens to their fictional counterparts.
The way things are looking: George dies, Izzie lives.
As saddened as I am that any of them has to die, I think I would’ve been more surprised if the …read more

T.R. Knight Officially Departs From Grey’s Anatomy

T.R. Knight Officially Departs From Grey’s Anatomy

While we’re still a ways away from the season six premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, sources from above have confirmed that ABC has granted T.R. Knight a release from his contract.
What does this mean for George? I’m afraid that the news is grim. Though many fans seem to still think the character could live on in another actor’s body, Rhimes has laughed off the rumor, which presumably means that George does not survive the accident.
It does however sound like Shonda & Co. would’ve liked to have Knight around for three episodes next season, but that could not be worked out. Which …read more
