Grey’s Anatomy 6.08 Promo (Video)

October 30, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

In the next episode of Grey’s Anatomy the doctors must work their special brand of miracle medicine to save a newborn baby’s life. It looks like the whole team must ban together for this particular case. Nothing says grab the tissue box like a dying baby. But if Derek could tackle a super tumor and win, then surely the doctors of Seattle Grace can save this baby!

Looks like it’s going to be another edge-of-your-seat episode.

Is it just me, or is this season turning out to be really exciting to watch?

It does not seem like it!

Grey’s Set Becomes a Baby Haven

October 28, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

admphotos452697-Ellen-PompeoIt’s no secret that while on-screen the doctors of Seattle Grace are battling with drama, behind the scenes, many of the actors are enjoying motherhood and in Eric Dane’s case, soon-to-be fatherhood. Word from TV Guide reveals that babies are taking over the Grey’s set what with Ellen Pompeo’s 6-week-old Stella and Katherine Heigl’s 1-year-old Naleigh, and Chyler Leigh’s 6-month-old Anniston, not to mention the crew’s babies. So what’s to be done? Build a nursery of course!

Word has it that the Grey’s Anatomy babies will soon have their own nursery on set. For the moment, the trailers are doubling as “baby havens” according to Chyler Leigh.

The question, of course, then becomes whether all of this baby craze will inspire some on-screen pregnancies. While you should never say never when it comes to Grey’s, Shonda Rhimes has stated clearly that it’s not happening. In an interview with TV Guide, Rhimes stated, “We don’t do babies on Grey’s.” So no McBaby then? Doesn’t look like it … at least not any time soon. Rhimes explains that while Derek wants to be a father, Meredith isn’t into the idea so much. Uh oh. Will that be a problem in the future?

We’ll have to wait and see on that particular point. In the meantime, all the behinds-the-scenes baby love will have to do, as it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing any pregnant doctors around Seattle Grace any time soon.

Are you disappointed that Rhimes doesn’t seem keen on writing in any pregnancies or are you relieved?

Leven Rambin Joins Grey’s Anatomy in a Recurring Role (Spoilers)

October 27, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

iphotos184784-Leven-RambinSoap opera fans will undoubtedly recognize Leven Rambin from All My Children. And if your first thought was, “Uh oh!” then you’re probably right. The actress has signed up for a recurring role on both Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. So we’ll be seeing a lot of this character. And from the sounds of it, she’s there to cause some trouble.

The evidence comes by way of Leven Rambin’s twitter page, where she wrote: “First day of filming Grey’s Anatomy tomorrow!!!!! Gayheart better watch. Her. Back. I’m coming for McSteamy!”

Sounds like Lexie better watch her back too! There’s not a lot of details about the character yet, beyond the fact that she’ll be showing up on both Grey’s and Private Practice but we’ll undoubtedly hear a whole lot more soon.

In the meantime, what do you think about someone coming around to stir up trouble between McSteamy and Little Grey? Are you worried for the couple or anxious for them to break up?

Grey’s Anatomy 6.07 “Give Peace a Chance” Promo

October 23, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

Gather ’round Derek fans for next week it’s all about Derek. Well, mostly about Derek. Over the summer we heard that Patrick Dempsey had been waiting a long while to get some Derek-sans-Mer storylines and it sounds like this might be one of them. Next week our favorite Neurosurgeon goes rogue when he decides to operate on an inoperable tumor after he’s been told not to. Does he do it? Does the patient live? Does someone stop him? Will he get fired? So much on the line!

Apologies for the quality of the promo, I’ll see if I can track down a better quality one and replace it. But enjoy this one for now.

TV Guide Interviews Robert Baker and Spoilers for Season 6

October 22, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

iphotos142694-Robert-BakerLove ‘em or hate them, the Mercy Westers aren’t going anywhere any time soon, and TV Guide has managed to track another one down for a sitdown and Q&A answer session. This week, they’ve cast the spotlight on Robert Baker, otherwise known as Dr. Charles Denman, or the guy that was a big jerk to Izzie.

You can go ahead and read the full interview over at TV Guide, but if you just want the highlights, here they are:

  • Charles = The new villain at Seattle Grace
  • The process of getting people to warm up to the Mercy Westers will be slow-going, but fans will be forced to admit that – if nothing else – they’re at least good doctors.
  • Some people will be mad at Charles for getting Izzie fired, while others won’t blame him quite as much.
  • Alex and Charles have some scenes together in tonight’s episode and Alex’s dislike of Charles is evident, but Alex has Charles “under his thumb a little bit and takes advantage of it.”
  • Possible attraction between Reed and Alex. The two of them have “that competitive attraction sort of thing,” which may or may not lead to anything.
  • Cristina and Jackson (Jesse Williams) will have an adversarial relationship that may lead somewhere.
  • If you’re waiting for bad stuff to happen to the Mercy Westers, you’ll likely get to see some of that coming up.
  • About tonight’s episode: “There’s been a massive apartment-building fire. It’s just total chaos. It’s a he-said-she-said. There’s too many doctors and too much commotion. It’s all centered around one patient who we lose. It’s trying to find out who was actually responsible for the death of this young lady. I can neither confirm nor deny the hospital of origin of the killing party.”
  • And finally, when Izzie comes back into town it’s all going to boil down to one word: Revenge.

Dun dun dunn! Everyone got their DVRs set for tonight’s episode?

Season 6 Callie/Arizona Spoilers

October 21, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

admphotos435957-Sara-RamirezNot a lot in the way of Grey’s Anatomy spoilers in the latest Mega Buzz from TV Guide, but there was a little something and it pertained to our favorite (and only) sapphic couple on the show: Callie/Arizona.

A viewer asked whether or not Callie and Arizona are going to make it on the show, as they don’t seem as “intimate” as Callie did with Erica. Sara Ramirez herself answered the question, assuring any troubled fans that Calzona have certainly gotten busy in the bedroom, even if we’ve not had a front row seat to all the hot action.

Alas, she also reveals that the couple is headed toward troubled waters: “They will deal with some very universal relationship-type issues. I’m kind of nervous for Callie — she’s never been this happy for so long. Something’s going to happen.”

DOOM.

Well, it’s Grey’s Anatomy so all couples are continuously headed toward troubled waters. Let’s just hope they make it through in one piece at the other end of things. I’m kind of nervous for everyone.

Coming Up on Season 6 of Grey’s Anatomy (Spoilers)

October 20, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

capphotos021887-ellen-pompeo-felici.jpg

According to TV Guide, Grey’s Anatomy will be celebrating three holidays in one during a very special episode. We’re talking Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s! The episode will shift focus away from all of the in-hospital drama and turn instead to the characters’ personal lives. Shonda Rhimes reveals that she and the cast and crew are “pretty excited” because, “We’ll be watching time pass as we take the audience into the new year.”

Seems like this season will feature a lot of fast foward through time moments. The first episode of the season took us through a couple of months in the span of two hours, so there seems to be a bit of a time-passing theme to the season. The passing of time means we’re likely to finish out the first half of the season with a lot of changes underway. More changes. So many changes this season! Can we handle it?

Well, we might. Here’s some stuff that you can look forward to (or not look forward to):

  • We get to meet Bailey’s mother! Described by Rhimes as “more Bailey than Bailey. You’ll finally see where Bailey gets her stuff.”
  • Mark & Lexie get a visit from Mark’s past who will cause the couple “to fall on hard times.”

I imagine that the same will be true for all of the main characters of Seattle Grace. Happy couples look out! But there are no other confirmations, so don’t panic yet.

We still have this week to get through.

Grey’s Anatomy 6.06 Promotional Photos

October 20, 2009 by Ingrid Diaz

Are you strapped in for this week’s episode? So far, season six has hit the ground running with changes, drama, more changes, more drama and um … well I think that just about covers it. Your comments keep flooding in and the general consensus is that the Mercy Westers should head on back to Mercy West and let Seattle Grace go back to what it used to be. The bad news is that the Mercy Westers aren’t going anywhere quite yet. My only guess is that they will be written to become more likable with time and they will eventually worm their way into our hearts. Maybe. That, or they’ll be sacrificed to the Parking Lot of Doom gods one by one.

But this week, the drama gets turned up another notch. From the look of things, this week our favorite characters will be fighting and looking sour. A lot. Let’s hope there’s a bit more to the episode than grumpy doctors. Going by the promo, things are going to get interesting.

Enjoy the picture slideshow. There’s a nice shot of Alex’s tummy in one of them.
