Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: More on the Wedding, George, Cristina/Hunt

Spoilers are raining down from every which way lately and it doesn’t look like anyone is backing off any time soon. The latest from Ausiello answers one of the Big Questions we’ve been wondering: Do Meredith and Derek get married this season?
In addition, there’s a bit more on George’s upcoming storyline. For serious, he gets one!
And what’s going to happen with Cristina and Hunt?

So first things first: The Wedding. Ausiello confirms that it’s happening in the 100th episode, which airs on May 7 (this was originally rumored but now seems pretty official). The big news is that it is not going to be Meredith and Derek. Most of you have been guessing Izzie and Alex, and that would be my next guess. No confirmations on that yet.
In other news, T.R. Knight is getting more screen time. He’ll be a key player in helping Dr. Hunt get back on track. “Hunt [will start to] see something in George that no one else has,” McKidd revealed. “There’s an event that happens and [Hunt] realizes there’s a lot more to him… that he has a set of skills that maybe he isn’t even aware of. And Hunt starts to mentor him in a way that gets really interesting.”
Ausiello is proposing that this “really interesting” thing might be that George gets a one-way ticket to the military and gets shipped off to Iraq.
And finally, will Cristina and Hunt ever get it on? McKidd answers: “A lot happens this week,” he said. “I think they’ve drawn that one out a lot, and I know people are getting frustrated. I think it’s good because they’ve really connected on a mental and emotional level. And now I think it’s time they connect physically.”
By “connect physically” he could just mean the very violent wake-up call he gives Cristina in bed, but let’s hope for something a little more romantic.

I think it will be Izzie and Alex. Izzie will probably think she’s dying and she wants to get married before she dies….well something like that! But I still wouldn’t be surprised if it were Meredith and Derek and they’re just trying to trick us into not thinking of the obvious….being optomistic! I really want it to be MerDer!!!
I really don’t like the fact mer/der aren’t going to marry :’( !!!! if they don’t I really hope it’s going to be alex and izzie,!!!!!!!
I don’t think MerDer would get married while Izzie is on her deathbed, thats just disrespectful.
I really hope it’s Izzie and Alex, that would be awesome.
And has anyone thought of Steve and Megan – the interns, they could get married.
Anyway, I’m glad its not MerDer, I wan’t their wedding to be big and eventful, not a quickie ceremony in a couple of weeks time.

) I did not think about that option until you mentioned that! But I could see Shonda writing something like in to get us excited about a wedding, but since this wedding is happening so soon I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the interns.

I thought from the beginning of this spoiler it would be Alex and Izzie.

well, it could be Callie and Arizona!
I have to imagine that it’d be in bad taste for anyone other than Izzie and Alex to get married, given Izzie’s failing health. Unless Izzie gets all better by the May 7 episode.
