Grey’s Anatomy Wedding Confirmed By Shonda Rhimes

Strap on your seatbelts, fellow Grey’s fans, for there’s some awesome news heading your way: Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that there will absolutely, positively be a wedding on the show this season!
But here’s the thing. Because there’s always a thing whenever these types of rumors come to light: there’s actually some question as to who is getting married.
Naturally, we want to assume that it’s Meredith and Derek because that’s the most obvious option. But it might not be them. Sounds like Shonda Rhimes wants to confuse us and make us cry.
So what we know is this:

There will be a wedding.

Rhimes said “viewers would be surprised by the bride and groom’s identities.”

It could still be MerDer according to some sources. “To marry them off seven weeks after getting engaged would certainly qualify as a surprise,” said one of them.

When will this happen? Rumors are pointing to May 7, the show’s 100th episode.
Don’t start buying your MerDer wedding presents quite yet, but don’t rule them out entirely. My money’s on it being MerDer.

if i were a betting woman i would put my money on Izzie & Alex. But there have been so many twists and turns this season that she may surprise us with the obvious Mer & Der.
Of course in my fantasy world it is Erica & Callie but that is another story entirely. I am getting over that but it is taking time
I am not fully behind Callie & Arizona but open to it, we shall see how it goes.
I’m betting they’ll go A Walk To Remember style and have Izzie and Alex get married before she dies. I have a feeling they’ll prolong MerDer’s engagement as long as possible.
The first couple that comes to mind is Izzie and Alex due to Izzie’s illness since everyone is hoping for MerDer BUT… I’m wondering about Lexie and Mark. Wouldn’t a Lexie and Mark wedding would be very surprising?
Definitely Izzie and Alex…….but this wouldn´t be surprising!!!!!! I agree that A Mark and Lexie wedding would be a reeeaaaaallly surprising one!!!!!

since lexie is pregnant in real life think its lexie/mark
the two interns were are preggers.
I believe the bride and groom will be lexie and mark because in real life lexie is pregnant for her 3rd child. So the story line might add that pregnancy into greys anatomy
I’m sick of everything being about Kathryn Heigl. I didn’t want her and George to leave the program but her character has completely taken over this season, along with taking over the Mer/Der wedding. Maybe that’s the attention you get if you whine enough, Maybe Patrick and Ellen should whine. They are suppose to be the lead actors, and PD had about 4 lines in last week’s episode. I think Shonda should think about what fan base she might be losing.
