Grey’s Anatomy Rumors: Izzie Lives … George Dies? And Cryptic MerDer News

Ausiello’s latest TV show scoopfest says that the latest rumor circling the Grey’s Anatomy world is that Shonda Rhimes is planning to trick us with this whole Izzie-is-going-to-die rumor, because the one that is really going to die is … George!
Seriously? Seriously?!
That’s all the details he’s got on that particular rumor, and since everyone’s denying that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are leaving, then we must insert a big Who Knows right about here.
But we all know how much Shonda hates spoilers and info getting leaked. So if this is already out there, chances are she’ll change her mind again.
But what would you make of this development if it really were to happen?
And then there’s this little snippet from Pete Nowalk’s latest Grey Matter blog post regarding the MerDer storyline: “it’s not going where you think.”
What does that meeeean?

Seriously….anyone that thinks that George is not important has not been paying attention for the past 4 seasons!!!!! Mer, Chris, Alex, and esp Izzie love George even if they never say it. Everyone is in the middle of their own drama right now, Izzie may die from cancer, but if she lives and George goes…I can’t see her recovering from that. I cant see any of our fave characters recovering from that. Yea, he dies a hero…but Mer, Iz, Chris, George, and Alex have been thru everything together starting with getting thru their intern year, MerDer drama, Mer almost dying, George’s dad dying, and the list goes on and on. They all need each other to make their characters whole. Take away one….and the show will not be the same….Period!!!!
George died, he got hit by a bus, saving a lady. I was hoping he would just join the army and LIVE but they had to kill him… and i thought Izzie was going to live! She was perfectly fine after the surgery! *sigh* the end was great, and I loved it, but I also hated it.
SERIOUSLY!!!! I am a huge greys anatomy fan.. you can’t kill izzie or george… mer,der,alex,chris,bailey,richard,george, and izzie make the show kill one or both you might kill the show…this is the first show that i ever got into.. i never bought any box set show until i started watching greys i just had to have them… i can’t believe you would think about kill one or both like seriously…
i completely agree that merideth,christina,george, izzie and alex are very important to the show they are the main characters who have been through so much and to not have them on the show well it just wouldnt be as good. i most deff. dont want to see izzie die so if one of them does die off then i agree george would be the better choice but like i said they both should stay on the show, and as for mer, and der, i think they have already had so much happen between the two of them that i think it’s about time they actually get to be happy for a bit at least marriage wise there shouldnt be any cheating or leaving each other written for the next season i think that would over do it alittle.
I cried, and waited 2 hours to see what was gonna happen to Izzie, and then they come showing me that she is gonna die, and George too. For my point of view, if they kill both of them the series will be a complete disaster. The series won’t work, I was a fan of Grey’s Anatomy, one of my favorite series, and most watched series and they ruined it like that.

They both want off the show. They had to kill off. But I think George will die, and Izzy they’re going to bring back, but only for a few episodes, and then she’ll either die, or the show itself will end. That is my prediction. But then when Burke was fired, I thought the show was going to flop then too, and it didn’t.
Here is what I think. I think Izzie is going to die. I think that George is staying, but it won’t be Knight. I think his face is so badly beat up from being dragged by the bus, that they actually had to reconstruct his face….thus, allowing us to still have the character of George…but played by another actor??? Both have expressed interest in leaving (via rumors)…but this is my assumption. Lets hope we are all wrong and they both stay. It took me a while to adjust to Burke leaving the show…and I don’t want to adjust to losing any more characters. The show would not be the same.
everyone loves george!! hes’ the awesome person thats always there and yea nothing big has happened to him lately but without him and mer there is no greys… kill anyone else but NOT GEORGE!!!
I hope Izzie lives rather george, hope the both of them stay, it take me some time to continue watching after Burke left, AND REALLY HOPE Merder don´t breakup, just give them a little happy time with small problems a newly couple have, I stop watching after burke left I was really dissapointed….. I can not take it again it looses what GA represents.
i just watched the season finale and it was great but horrible at the same time. if Knight doesn’t come back as george and some other random actor steps in for him, i dont think i’ll watch the show anymore. also, if izzie dies, alex will never be the same again. it took him sooo long to get from where he was during season 1 (a jerk) to where he is now, and if they kill of izzie, alex will never be the same alex…
but then again, this will be ‘dramatic’ and that’s what grey’s anatomy is looking at……
You can’t just say that, George is as important as Izzie or every other character. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have a girlfriend, everybody loves him.
if MerDer get broken up then the show is seriously gonna suck. How much drama can u give a couple??! the show loses all its meaning and it just gets annoying…small problems are fine but let them be married or at least go to city hall and enjoy themselves
I think that George is gonna live and izzie is gonna be put into a coma. Alex is devstated and think how life is gonna be without her and he ends up commiting suicide. Izzie wakes up with her memories intact and in the end she dies with cancer.
Oh my gosh! I can’t believe that ending, why is everybody wanting george to die? it was an amazing ending the part of george was great, still i didnt get the 007 part, and how meredith knew by then that john doe was george?

george’s character has been seriously not strong enough for this season. he just like another intern with bigger portion on the shot. Even lexi which is the newcomer character at the show, has her special story that makes the character much stronger. however, i still like the kind, sweet, bff character in the fellowship of bailey’s and don’t want to lose him on the next season. so that izzi’s character. GA totally ruin the next season if both of them died.

how can you all be saying that you want George to die?! Jess is right in saying, he is the one that holds the group together and he gives the best advice to all of them and everyone loves him. My mother is gonna kill herself is George dies, as am i!! Tuk is right too! btw, the person who was wondering about the 007 bit, it’s because… the characters think of George as too good to be true and Alex had said he was their 007 and from then on it was his nickname. I was abso horrified when i realised. I was sat watching Grey’s with my mum and then she just shouted, ‘IT’S GEORGE!’ and i was like ‘OMG WHAT!’ and now i feel horrible. He’s gorgeous and everyone loves him! Why would he want to leave the show, he’s a great actor and no-one wants him to leave! Of course, Izzy can’t die either! We love them both! But one of them has to die, tbh i hope it’s Izzy. I know everyone’s gonna be like, ‘WHAT?’ but it’s just, i know she has cancer and everything, but George just sorta thought, ‘Oh gonna join the army’ then sees this woman, she’s rude to him even though he flashes this smile and then why would he jump in front of a bus to save a complete stranger who has just barely acknowledged him. That’s what i mean by he’s too nice and such a good person and that’s why he cannot leave Grey’s! I mean, they couldn’t send him away to the army at least, something dreadful had to happen. I agree with everyone! Izzie CANNOT die! I’ll be sad if George dies but then again if I had to choose who dies between Izzie and George I’d choose George. Also, George had a really messed up face seeing as he was dragged by the bus. They would not be able to fully repair the damage to his face so he would be forever difigured… think of the make-up they’d have to do every single episode if he looked like that! Basically i think it makes more sense to keep Izzie alive and keeping George alive will just create more work for themselves. There is no way that they would kill both of them off so I thik there is a good (ish) chance that Izzie shall live but to bad for George. Hope this makes any sense!
I think that George is dying, but it looks like Izzie is dying now, because she is in the elevator, on her way to heaven. I think they will swich or something, so that George goes with the elevator, and she stays. I don’t know, I’m so dissapointed with any of them dying. I know that it’s just a tv show, but they could’ve killd someone else, but not the two of them. Come on, T.R. come back, and everyone will be happy, and you and Izzie will live through this all.

Yeah, i love Katherine Heigl and i really want her to live, but in the same i want George to live. They are both my favourite characters from GA. They cant die! It would be very borring to watch the show in that case.

It is posted on some websites that Ga’s will be getting some new faces. Jesse Williams. The actor has been cast for a multi-episode arc in Grey’s Anatomy’s season 6. So why cant Izzy live and George live but have enough reconstructive surgery that they can change the charictor. Many sites say there will be surprises and changes around almost every corner in this season. Will this be the last season? Where are they taking the show? Guess we will just have to wait and see. I know it sucks but what choice do we have.
It is fairly well known that T.R. Knight has wanted off the show for sometime. So maybe he is the one that dies.

If you go to your direct tv guide and look up the newest episode of greys it clearly says George dies.
Now I know that George dies and I’m very sad. He was my favourite character from the beginning. Why did they kill my favourite character?????? They could send him to Iraq and let him live. I know it’s childlish but I’m unhappy for three days now and cannot recover. This scene with 007 was horrible, when I saw it, I knew it was him before Meredith told everybody. It goes in my head on and on and I cannot stop it. I am traumatised by these stupid scenario writers!!!!
Now I have to accept it, I guess. It’s just a show.

I stopped watching Grey’s after they killed off George. I’m done. All of my friends are done, too. And I hope more people also quit watching. The WAY they killed off George was uncalled for. I have better things to do with my time. I wept for weeks after that episode – I AM SO DONE WITH IT. I hope you’re happy Shonda. And I also hope ratings PLUMMET! Bye bye…..
I think Izzie should die. Izzie has a very strong personality but I think she does nothing for Grey’s. George was my favourite character, because he’s always there for others. George is like a brother to everyone, and he’s a brilliant doctor. Everyone chooses for Izzie’s side, but I think it would be a good cliff-hanger if Izzie dies. Than you question:
1) What will happen to George?
2) What will happen to Alex?
3) What about MerDer?
I vote: ‘George alive, Izzie dead.’
