Kate Walsh Counterfiles for Divorce
December 30, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Looks like the divorce is a go for Kate Walsh and soon-to-be-ex-husband Alex Young.
Young filed for divorce back in November, stating that their split date was November 22. Now Kate Walsh has filed her own papers, but states that they split five days earlier, on November 17.
There doesn’t seem to be any apparent reason for the discrepancy, but despite any issues with the actual dates they both seem to be in accordance that the marriage is over.
Their reasons for divorce is cited as “irreconcilable differences,” which can mean just about anything.
According to sources at TMZ, neither is seeking spousal support.

Chyler Leigh Confirms Pregnancy
December 30, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Big congratulations are in store for Chyler Leigh, otherwise known to us Grey’s fans as Lexie Grey. One of her reps has just confirmed to US Magazine that the actress and her husband, Nathan West, will be expecting their third child.
In terms of how this bundle of joy will affect existing or future storylines on Grey’s it seems as if it won’t. The rep stated that the show “won’t be writing her pregnancy into their storyline.”
Although with all of that “teaching” that Mark’s been doing I don’t see why they wouldn’t consider making Lexie pregnant. I guess they have different things in mind for both characters.
Looking forward to finding out what those are. In the meantime, huge congratulations to the happy couple on the great news!

Grey’s Anatomy 5.11 ‘Wish You Were Here’ Promos
December 23, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Grey’s Anatomy returns all new on January 8, 2009 and ABC has released a couple of promo videos for our enjoyment. If you’ve been reading the spoilers you have a fairly good idea of what’s to come in the first episode of the new year. We’ve got a serial killer needing medical attention and a new pediatric doc on the block. Overall, lots of drama ahead for our favorite medical team.
Sara Ramirez Leaving Grey’s Rumors Untrue
December 22, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Looks like the rumor mill has been spinning with news that Sara Ramirez has been offered a mighty sweet deal to star on her very own TV show. As nice as it would be for Sara Ramirez to finally be recognized for the star that she is, it looks like the rumor is simply a rumor and nothing more.
Her rep told TV Guide that they’ve heard nothing about it. I certainly don’t want Callie to leave Grey’s Anatomy as much as I’d love to see Sara Ramirez in a starring role somewhere.
I mentioned the other day that Callie’s character was likely to hook up with Jessica Capshaw’s – who’ll be guest starring as Dr. Arizona Robbins starting on Jan. 8. I thought she was only signed for a three episode guest spot, but I was wrong; it’s more than that!
And the “hook up” won’t happen until her third appearance. It’s unclear whether or not it’s going to lead anywhere. Considering Jessica Capshaw is only a guest star and not a series regular I sort of doubt it will. Unless, of course, they decide to keep her on board (I’ve not heard anything to indicate that they will).

Two Other Grey’s Anatomy Cast Members Want Out
December 18, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
According to Kristin at E! Online, two other members of Grey’s Anatomy have asked out of their contracts in past years. I’m guessing that means ABC didn’t let them out. But it looks like T.R. Knight is being let out, though nothing has been signed as yet. Kristin tells us about it in this video report.
Any guesses as to who the other two actors might be? Katherine Heigl seems like an easy guess, though I suppose it could be anyone. And will the ones that want out fight to be let out if ABC opens the exit door for Knight?

December 18, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
ABC is celebrating the New Year by bringing us new episodes of our favorite shows. Starting on January 8, we’ll be able to catch Private Practice after Grey’s Anatomy (as it probably should’ve been from the beginning). The network has released a brand new promotional video to celebrate the return of both shows and to get us excited about what’s to come in 2009.

Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: 5.11 “Wish You Were Here”
December 17, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Grey’s doesn’t return until January 8, 2009, but that doesn’t mean the spoilers aren’t already making the rounds. The episode “Wish You Were Here” sees two new guest stars emerge: Eric Stoltz and Jessica Capshaw. As we know, Stoltz will be playing a serial killer on death row and Jessica Capshaw joins the Seattle Grace team as the new pediatric surgeon, Dr. Arizona Robbins.
Here’s what else we know about the episode:
- Bailey teams up with Dr. Robbins to save a young patient who’s “near and dear to her heart.” Could that be her son? Another family member?
- Eric Stoltz guest stars as William the Serial Killer who gets admitted into Seattle Grace. This move “stirs anger in Derek and further erodes Meredith and Cristina’s friendship.” Sounds uplifting.
- Callie and Sloan team up to fight their intern attractions. What that means exactly I have no idea, but I suspect it has something to do with the on-call room. Any other ideas?
- And Izzie finally admits to Alex that she can see Denny
I’ve also heard rumblings that Jessica Capshaw’s character might have something going on with Callie. I believe the actress will only be guest starring for three episodes or so, so I guess it will be a very short romance, or perhaps just part of Callie’s fight against her attraction for Sadie.

The Latest on T.R. Knight’s Potential Departure From Grey’s Anatomy
December 16, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
According to Kristin at E! Online, nothing’s official yet. But according to her sources T.R. Knight has definitely asked to be let out of his contract despite comments from the rest of the Grey’s cast. Eric Dane told E!, “I don’t know how true that is, but if it were, it would certainly be a loss. I don’t think there’s any truth to that until I’m told otherwise.”
But it sounds like most of the cast and crew of the show is being left in the dark about the whole issue.
Regardless of how this turns out, T.R. Knight was spotted having dinner with best bud Katherine Heigl and her husband and mother, so it looks like this hasn’t caused permanent friction, if any at all.
Meanwhile, Kristin also tells us that T.R. Knight is “not the first Grey’s castmember to be asked out of his contract. There have been at least two others.” Hmm. Care to guess who those might be?
The future looks a bit bleak for George/T.R. Knight fans with regards to his life on Grey’s but nothing is yet official and it sounds like they’re still negotiating all of this. There’s still a chance he’ll change his mind.

Ben Shenkman to Guest Star on Grey’s Anatomy
December 12, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Jennifer Westfeldt had been cast to play a patient in Grey’s Anatomy. Well, now we know that her character will be married and her husband will be played by Tony and Golden Globe nominated actor Ben Shenkman (Angels in America).
Shenkman’s character will not be there as a supportive husband, he’ll be a patient himself; one in critical condition.
Both are set to guest star in a multi-episode arc, though details about the storyline itself are being kept in the dark for now.
Looking forward to more details!
