Grey’s Anatomy Sneak Peek: 5.10 “All By Myself”

Kristin at E! Online has a sneak peek for us from next week’s episode “All By Myself”. In this clip, we get to see a little more of Alex/Izzie and Izzie/Denny in all of its inexplicable glory.
Kristin poses three possible explanations for the Denny hauntings, and here are my thoughts on each:
1. Brain tumor – Shonda said no to this so I’m inclined to believe it’s not true.
2. Izzie is losing her mind – Possible. But … then what? We get to see Izzie at a mental institution all next season?
3. Izzie is dead, too – Wouldn’t that be something? Oh I wouldn’t put it past the writers to hit us with something like this. Doubtful, though. Then she’d have to haunt Seattle Grace if they wanted to keep Heigl around and that might get complicated.
4. Izzie has an overactive imagination – This would probably be the least original explanation, so I’m hoping they don’t go this route.
5. Izzie has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – I’m inching toward this one as the most likely of the five, simply because it would make sense and it would make for an easy explanation.
Here’s a bonus one from me: Maybe Izzie is Clairvoyant and can communicate with the dead. Next they’ll offer her a new spinoff in which she solves crimes by talking to dead people. Oh wait… I think that’s been done.
What are your theories?
They have to stop this non sense!!! I hope the whole season is not gonna revove around this.
I loved Denny, and I am really NOT a fan of this storyline, but I have to admit that the sneak peak was pretty funny. I’m gonna agree and say it’s probably PTSD or some sort of psychological issue that she just has to deal with. Maybe she subconsciously feels guilty for being moving on and being with Alex? Issie is definitely not dead though; everyone else can see her, but they can’t see Denny.
I am torn about this storyline. In a way, I love seeing Denny and Izzy back together. But I also like her and Alex together. I just keep thinking of her big speech to Alex earlier this season (or the end of last season) when she said something along the lines of, ‘I’m not going to go crazy, you can depend on me.’ I find myself feeing sorry for Alex over this storyline.
Honestly, I’m worried about how the writers are going to tie this all up. I don’t like any of the scenarios so far….guess we’ll see what happens together
What if Denny didn’t die and that everything that happened after that was actually a dream-like sequence? I don’t remember everything that happened in the next seasons, but that would never have happened. No George and Izzie. I know that’s impossible, but would have been kinda cool… Cause Denny and Izzie are pretty hot together…
I hate the Denny and Izzie storyline.
OK OK I love denny and Izzy….but I hate the fact that denny is a dead guy…whats up with that….?? I really hope they are not killing Izzy off…oh I love her on here…and I really like her and Alex together…but her and Denny are HOTT!! Plus he is a nice piece of eye candy~
What if Alex is the one that is dead?? That would be a spin!! I don’t like Denny since I don’t really buy into the Izzy and Denny were going to last if he lived… Also I feel bad for Alex given everything that has happened to him; also I think that Izzy and Alex push the each-other to grow & change to become better people…. I would really like Alex to one day see Denny (aka Alex is slipping away aka dieing) and find out that everything we have seen this season is really how Alex is playing out what Izzy is telling him about each day at the SGH.. I think that would be a great twist!! Alex has had a very limited role this season and think it could work with Denny there REALY for Alex but is there for himself to in part be with Izzy!!
… When Alex sees Denny we could also find out WHAT and HOW Alex is the way he is, dead or dieing at SGH.. That would be one great show with Izzy maybe going to loss Alex as she did Denny, wherein Denny’s love for Izzy will show when Denny lets Alex live to be with Izzy and NOT let her go through the loss again…
