Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: No Brain Tumor for Izzie, What’s Next for Callie

Michael Ausiello has a few snippets of information concerning what’s to come on Grey’s Anatomy and of course at the top of the list of matters is this nutty (and going by your comments: lame, stupid, idiotic, unoriginal, etc) Izzie/Denny thing. I’m calling it a ‘thing’ because I’m not quite sure what else to call it.
Ausiello managed to get the official word from Shonda Rhimes herself, and this is what she has to say: “I think the love triangle with Denny, Izzie, and Alex is among the most interesting we’ve ever done. Watching the chemistry between Jeffrey and Katherine again has been really touching. I can’t wait for our viewers to see where we’re taking it. But what it won’t involve is Izzie having a brain tumor.”
No brain tumor for Izzie! Yay! That leaves us with … erm … questions. Or perhaps yawns, depending on your take. Though I’m sure some of you are excited about this. So there you go. More Izzie/Denny. More Izzie/Alex. No silly tumor getting in the way of all the living/undead loving. That’s why we love this show.
Moving on up to Callie, people want to know what’s next and Ausiello says “Sadie’s next for Callie.” Well, now I’m confused. But maybe that’s normal. I’m going to just go ahead and enjoy the ride.

Ok,just saw the show last night. It was awesome as usual. I’m glad Christina and Hunt finally kissed, but I don’t know. I really like them together but he’s got war issues still.
I have never liked Melissa George. Not on Alias, not on In Treatment and now, not on Greys. She just annoys me. I hope she’s gone soon.
Denny is my all time favorite Grey’s male. I love him. He’s the sexiest one on there and the sweetest and most romantic, so as long as he’s there, I’m good, lol. I wish they’d give the chief a story again. I’d like to see what’s going on w/ him and Adele. And also, HELLO - I want Bailey to have more of a story. I love her character.
WHY is it that I didn’t see that type of emotion over the loss of her husband? Why does everyone want us to forget that Callie was in love with George and into Mark sexually? They keep giving Callie people who don’t stick around. She should have a real relationship. I don’t like how Callie is getting all the relationship experiments like an animal your testing things on. Why can’t my girl get some true, lasting happiness? SHE went through hell with Izzie being so mean to her, George choosing Izzie over her, and then the real slap in the face is that that relationship didn’t last the season. Then she gets all into Erica to realize that she doesn’t like girls as much–DUH! We all knew that. Why when a womanhas a few bad things happen she discovers she gay or bi? It’s kinda overplayed and usually doesn’t work because you are invested in the character with a certain person (man or woman). I never really saw the Erica/Callie chemistry. They did that same thing to the doctor with a cane on ER (she’s gone and Angela Basset has her place). Callie deserves a relationship that makes her happy, free and not always having to fight tor her happiness. She deserves better. Stop trying to make Katheirne H (Izzie) happy with juicy and interesting words and hook up Christina and Callie, they both been through hell.
I’m thinking NO for Sallie. No way. It’s not hot, it’s not attractive, and Sadie is all wrong for Callie. Besides, we know from the leaked spoilers that Shonda and Co. have ditched the “Sadie is bisexual” storyline.
As far as Izzie, I LOVE the Dizzie/Alex triangle, but I was really hoping she had a brain tumor. How else can we explain why she can feel and see Denny? I love Shonda and I trust her, but I’m getting worried.
Callie and Sadie are a fun match. Izzie and Alex have always been meant to be. I am still pissed about Brooke Smith but I do see Sadie being a better match.
I also see Sadie as an interesting match for Callie, especially after Sadies “Lincoln Logs” comment last week. Again, if the Sallica rumor is real, cheers to Grey’s for incorporating more diversity.
God, Sadie is annoying as…hell. Just so, so, so annoying and Callie deserves someone who is serious about her. OH RIGHT! They had that with Erica and now she’s gone. I just don’t ever want to see Melissa George on my TV screen and then I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t watch last week’s episode. I hate Denny too. What a stupid storyline. I’m wondering if it’s Shonda with the brain tumor, not her characters.
I’m all for Callie, Hunt, Mark, Cristina, Alex, Addie and Mer ditching this sinking ship of a show and spinning off. And bring Erica back. For Callie. I’d watch that show.
As long as it’s not written by Shonda, it’s bound to be better. They should have fired her instead of Brooke Smith.

I don’t get the whole making love to a dead man scene. She touches him & he his real? Come on… that is a bit far fetched isn’t it. I love him as an actor & I wish they never killed him off. It was a huge mistake but bringing him back this way is just plain weird unless she dreamed up the whole episode where he actually died. I’ve seen dead people come back to life in soap operas all the time.
The whole Izzy - I see/touch dead people - Denny/Alex storyline sucks. Big time. Pathetic. They really need to bring this to a conclusion now. Its a little too far-fetched and out there for my liking and my friends are all in total agreement. Another 3 eps to go if rumours are right and I’m gonna start seeing dead people because I will be going mad. Erica GONE. New character - Sadie - not yet in sync. Too much. Rumours everywhere that the grey’s writers are losing it. Losing confidence big time. Thank god for Mer/Der. I need more Mer/Der. Too little Mer/Der especially if I have to put up with the “I see/touch dead people” gaff. I just can’t see where the crazy is going….. Totally hate it. HATE IT…. Thats one hell of a big leap of faith Shondra. Stop smoking it and get back to reality.
WTF? Callie and Sadie? NOOOOOOO! I hate melissa George I can’t take the twists and turns shonda is making inorder to attract more viewers! She is just losing them. Here’s an idea…can we plaese for once make callie and christina happy. I dont know who feels the Same way but when callie and mark were fooling around I sensed chemistry so make callie happy and give her someone that cares about her! Also mark is so sweet and callie needs that right now! Like c’mon she said it herself “married betrayed gay abandoned” she needs happiness and I’m pretty sure sadie can’t give that to her….SHE IS CRAZY!
so can someone please explain to me why ABC & Shonda have a problem with a loving lesbian couple but are ok with necrophilia?
Speaking as one of the male viewers that you have, I suggest you stop this “I date dead people” thing. I would understand a old man dating izzie but this is ridiculous. Unless this show is planning to crossover into “Supernatural” on the CW; I suggest we kill off Denny’s character for good.
I’m sure there’s some reasonable explanation for Izzie being able to see/feel Denny when he’s dead, they’re just holding us in suspense. The only problem though, is that after two episodes without this explanation, it’s starting to get absurd. I’m holding out for the conclusion though!
grey’s was so much fun to watch in season 1 and 2, and even season 3. with burke and addi gone, they really left a big void in the storyline. no more stories about george and the chief and the nurses, and did anyone notice that callie has been a resident forever? shonda, wake up!
There’s no way Izzie survives this. If Shonda was telling the truth when she said the premiere tells us all we need to know (Izzie walks into the light with Denny), then she’s dying!
Hmmm…I’m not sure how I feel about Grey’s, which is crazy b/c it’s my fave show. But this whole Denny thing is really making me nuts! Obv. Izzy DOES die this season…or maybe they’ll make this entire season a dream for one of the characters and start fresh next season. The new characters they’re bringing on are hurting the show and making me really consider whether or not to keep watching. I NEVER thought I’d say this but you are almost losing me Grey’s!
I’m with Melissa. Grey’s was was spicy hot for the first three seasons. It got a little weaker in season four, but was still worth watching . Then along comes season five. The season premier was so far fetched and chaotic. I was left with a feeling of “HUH?!” Instead of “Yay! season five!”
Busting up the Christina/ Burke couple killed a large degree of the spiciness. Now, Izzie is having a physical relationship with her dead fiance?! Oh, and let’s not forget the new character-Dixon I think is her name? What the hell is THAT one about?! It (that character) adds nothing to the show at all. It just feels like the writers are reaching for story lines. There are too many new characters, too much blandness going on to make it “more-ish”. For the first time ever I half way watched the episode tonight. It’s just not strong, powerful, potent…it has no pizazz, no oomph, for lack of a better word. It seems to be fizzling more and more. And it’s so sad, it’s like watching a slow train wreck. Because this was once a show that rocked to the very core! There was heat and varying forms of passion, both personal and professional, from show to show and season to season up til now. It seems to have all come to a painful screeching halt this season.
And why does Callie have to be gay? She and McSteamy would have been a hot couple! She was so into George, now suddenly she prefers girls instead? I think that it’s a bad direction to go in with this character. It just doesn’t fit her, IMO, considering who she was in seasons three and four. If anyone should’ve gone gay it should’ve been Meredith! Think about it. She’s tried every other guy and none has worked, she has moved chasing after love to be hurt again and again, she can’t have babies anyway, why not try women? THAT could’ve been an understandable story line as to WHY. With so much history to use as a basis for her sudden new interest. All of this being my opinion of course. And I’m no critic, no experience in writing for a tv series. Just a Grey’s fan who is watching her favorite show circle the drain…….
Grey’s is really starting to tank. It’s becoming a watered down version of its former self. How very sad……

Callie and Erica totaly had chemistry. And so do Callie and Sadie. She’s Bi. Get over it.
At first i ddin’t like callie and sadie either but then i realised that its the closest thng we’l ever get to see callie gettin hot with a woman in. I hate ABC coz i thought the whole point of erica and callie was to show and prove that there is nothng wrng with bein gay. I mean the whole chemistry buisness was just a load of bull. Yeah sure callie and erica were sometimes awkwad to watch bt thats the point,when they were awkwad with each other,us the viewers also felt weired and awkwad bt we grow along wit their relationship. When they get comfy,we do too. When they laugh or felt strange,we did too. I invested a lot of time in callica,grew and fel inlove with the two. Im not about to do that again wit sallie,only to have to let go of them aswell. I am deeply disapointed in ABC. I thought it was brilliant that they wanted to change a bit of the way people look at each other bt proved when the going gets tough or when they stand to lose viewers(money) they chicken out…but either way,am up for sallie….let’s just see how far it goes.
I totally disagree…she’s not bi at all, IMO. She’s just confused and the writers have screwed up her character so bad I dont know if they can get it back. Sadie is just awful and a horrible addition to the show. I agree with Amy, it’s a total train wreck and I don’t know if they realize that enough to try and fix all the mistakes they’ve made this season.

I don’t think Callie is bi either. I think she’s got some rejection issues going on. She was a smoking hot character in the beginning. She was the type who had that sexiness simmering at the surface without being ‘in your face’ sexy. And she was definitely into men, and i believe she will turn to men again. I feel this turn was a desperate attempt to appeal to the masses, because it seems lately to be an assumption of tv producers that the desire of the masses is girl on girl every where. Not so. Girl on girl happens, so what, that doesn’t mean everyone wants to watch it. But, to go and mess with the entire cast of characters like Grey’s has done recently is really a bad direction to go in. I haven’t even bothered watching since I posted originally. It’s just not worth it anymore….I’ll catch the re-runs one day maybe. Or, maybe something will change that may make the hour worth wasting on it again. I’d love for it to improve, but I’ve kinda given up hope on that happening.
