Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: Izzie’s Dark Past, Melissa George’s Contract, Mary McDonnell Guest Stars
October 29, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
The spoilers for Grey’s Anatomy keep pouring in, and here’s a few more, courtesy of Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly.
With regards to Ausiello’s very vague and cryptic clue regarding Denny’s return and Katherine Heigl’s possible departure at the end of the season (which Kristin from E! Online says won’t happen), we got this: “The exit primer I alluded to does not concern any kind of health crisis. Rather, it pertains to a very dark day in Izzie’s professional career that rears its ugly head again.”
A dark day in Izzie’s professional career? Is it something we’ve seen? Something brand new? So many possibilities there.
More Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: Cristina/Hunt, Alex/Izzie
October 29, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
The latest spoilers for Grey’s Anatomy tell us that Cristina “will freak out over the return of Owen Hunt.” Though there’s no official confirmation on whether Kevin McKidd will be sticking around Seattle Grace for the long haul, everyone’s secret sources seem to indicate that the army doctor isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Love him or hate him he’s here to stay.
For all of you Izzie and Alex fans there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that it looks like despite the kiss from last week’s ep, Alex will continue to act a bit aloof. The good news is that the kiss is only a “preview of things to come.” Alex’s “heart is actually all-in.”
Looking forward to seeing where things go with both of those couples to-be.
Grey’s Anatomy is all new this week with episode 5.06 “Life During Wartime.” Tune in on Thursday!

October 28, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Grey’s Anatomy is all new this week with “Life During Wartime,” which brings Kevin McKidd back into our lives – this time for good (or at least for a while). For you impatient types out there that simply can’t wait for the episode, here’s five sneak peeks that should help ease the pain a bit.
Enjoy!
Four more after the jump!
Katherine Heigl is Happy with Her New Storylines, Not Going Anywhere
October 28, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
According to Kristin from E! Online, who ran into Katherine Heigl at the Peter Alexander boutique opening, the actress is happy with these season’s storylines. She (and by ’she’ I mean Kristin) also puts to rest any pesky rumors that Izzie might be killed off at the end of the season. Heigl told Kristin:
“There’s nothing I can reveal, but it’s been awesome. It’s been really exciting for me and really, really fun, satisfying work. I love Justin [Chambers]! How can you not love Justin? Sorry. He is just such a doll. I mean it’s weird, I’ve been working with all of these people for five years. They’re like my family. I mean, I see them actually more than my own family! We have so much fun together.”
Also it sounds like Izzie and Alex will be heating up the bedroom one of these days. So all of you Izzie/Alex ’shippers can bounce happily and excitedly in your chairs.
And… SPOILER ALERT:
Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: Cristina and Hunt
October 28, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
During TV Guide’s Mega Minute we get an inside look at what’s going on with Cristina and Hunt. They locked lips during their first meeting, will they pick things up from there?
According to the clip, “McArmy’s” response to seeing Cristina again is going to be “surprising to say the least.” It implies a very lukewarm reaction. Looks like they’ll be headed down the usual long, difficult, dramatic path toward relationshipdom.
“McArmy”… I’m not sure I like this nickname all that much.
Anyway, Hunt will get off on the wrong foot with the other male doctors on staff. Surprise, surprise. Alpha males butting heads. Wouldn’t have guessed it.

Melissa George Talks Grey’s Anatomy
October 28, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
In a recent interview with Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, Melissa George answered some questions about her upcoming role on Grey’s Anatomy. It sort of seems like she doesn’t really know any more than we do about what’s to come for her character. Shonda and Co. are keeping a tight lid on the details.
Warning: Spoilerish type things ahead. But mostly a lot of answers that leave you with more questions than anything else.
Onward!
When asked to say more about Sadie (that’s the character’s name), Melissa George stated that she’s “dying to find out more about her because her behavior is so interesting.” Oh?
She adds this:
She’s very close with Meredith; they were best friends. They traveled around the world together. And when Meredith went to work at Seattle Grace, Sadie went to work at a morgue. I’m dying to know why she behaves so recklessly. Anyone who behaves like that has to have a lot of issues.
On the question of sexuality, George says Sadie will “just take anything.” The character “gets a thrill out of shocking people.”
What everyone wants to know – including the actors, apparently – is whether “anything happened” between Sadie and Meredith during their wild world wide treks. No one knows! Perhaps the writers don’t know either. Maybe it was too wild for television.
What’s vaguely evident (if something can be vaguely evident) is that something happened:
Grey’s Anatomy Promo and Photos 5.06 “Life During Wartime”
October 27, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
This week’s Grey’s Anatomy is all new and it looks like Kevin McKidd is finally back for good. Dr. Owen Hunt makes his official return with “Life During Wartime” and it seems like the episode will revolve mainly around him and his relationship with the rest of the Seattle Grace crew.

Grey’s Anatomy Music 5.05 “There’s No ‘I’ In Team”
October 27, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Last week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy “There’s No ‘I’ In Team” had its fair share of wonderful music (as usual). If you’re looking to find the name of a tune from the episode, here’s a list of songs that appeared. I’ve added links to each performer’s MySpace page so that you can check out more of their music.
- “Love Save the Empty” – Erin McCarley
- “Ordinary Day” – Emilie Mover
- “These Quiet Times” – Shady Bard
- “Comes and Goes (In Waves)” – Greg Laswell“Hiding My Heart” – Brandi Carlile
- “Live Like You’re Dying” – Lenka
Note: ABC has Lenka’s song listed as “Live Like Your Dying” but I’m fairly certain that’s a typo. I looked it up on iTunes and it has it correctly spelled as “You’re.”
Enjoy the music!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Returns to Grey’s Anatomy on Nov. 6
October 24, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz
Michael Ausiello has just revealed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be making another return to Grey’s Anatomy on the November 6 episode. Sources have confirmed that Denny will be making another earthly appearance on the show to have a heart-to-heart with Izzie.
The question is: What will Denny have to say this time?
Ausiello leaves us a vague and cryptic clue:
“Something happens in the episode that could easily set the stage for a Heigl departure at season’s end. I’m not saying it will; only that it could.”
Well, if that’s not ominous I don’t know what is. What are your theories?
