Jeffrey Dean Morgan Returns to Grey’s Anatomy
It’s nice to know that death on a show doesn’t necessarily mean the end for that particular character. This is especially true of Jeffrey Dean Morgan who seems to die in pretty much every show he appears in (Grey’s Anatomy, Weeds, Supernatural). The good news is, he’s awesome enough to be asked back time and time again, and next season of Grey’s Anatomy will be no different. Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be back!
It has been confirmed that the actor will return to Seattle Grace in the fifth season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. We don’t even have to wait! There’s not been any word to how or why Denny appears, but it’s looking very unlikely that it will have anything to do with an Izzie-related death (as many media outlets have theorized).
Let’s also hope it doesn’t involve another Meredith-related-almost-death. With luck, it will simply be something upbeat. How about another shower scene? Both he and McSteamy were missing from the Chief-McDreamy-McSteamy bath-a-thon. How about a hot tub this time? I can’t be the only one who wouldn’t mind seeing that!
So what do you think? Why will Denny appear?

I like Dillions idea about a coma. At least that will shut her up! Okay, so I am a little outspoken.

Seriously, my first thought was that I may have been right about the whole Season 4 ending. The way Derek took off like that, realy spelt trouble (like a car accident).
It would be kinda ironic if it did happen and Derek was the one seeing Denny this time.
Then again I just read that there will be some time lapse between the finale and the premiere; as well as Rose is sticking around to cause trouble. So that doesn’t really fit into my theory…oh well.
I don’t think, however that the writers will kill Izzie off just because she spoke out. I mean, in all honesty, the writers strike (right or wrong) did cause storylines to shift and made this season seem abrupt–at least for most fans.

I thought that also about a possible car accident with Derek. But Shonda did come out and say that their will not be a car accident or anything, that Mer/Der will have their happy ending. Good thing because the Mer/Der fans(that’s me) have gone through enough.
However, I can’t wait for season 5!

well you could already tell that mer/der will be together but if they wanted to they could take izzie stevens out of the picture easily making her go into an acoma and then see visions of deny…..i hopes season five will be great!!

I look forward to seeing a way that they can bring Denny back without making it cheesy, like Denny having a twin or something. Of course, we don’t really KNOW that it’s Denny. Maybe she could mistake him for Denny or something, but that would still be cheesy for me.
I can’t wait to see him though. I LOVE Jeffrey Dean Morgan!

Maybe Denny is going to visit Mer now that she got “all whole & healed” as just a follow up to her going to light.

seriously?? You just gonna waste ur scenes. I like Izzie but I don’t like Denny. Please don’t make him have all the scenes. One episode is enough with a very lil scenes. Grey’s don’t need Jeffrey Dean Morgan anymore.

i agree, he’s dead why bring him back again…in season 3 it was ok i mean i liked denny but ….
so does that mean sum1 may have a near death experience or fall into a coma or maybe he’ll appear in a couple dreams or something. Anyways i just hope it makes sense in the end, i trust the writers so whatever they do im fine with it.

Shonda has come out and said that Izzie will have a great story line this season. What I am thinking is that Denny’s (possible) appearance to Izzie, whether it be in a dream or she sees him or whatever, is going to set off that story line. I’m not sure how, but I think it’ll be interesting.

Yes, Michelle, he does State Farm commercials. Just like Kate Walsh did a Cadillac commercial.

guys go to http://www.greysanatomyinsider.com… they give you more info on the jeffrey dean thing. it was saying that the plan was for izzie to get a brain tumour and after her diagnosis start having visions of denny, but they r also sayin that they mite scrap the idea because shonda hates spoilers. I think they will still keep the idea but she’ll survive the surgery or something like that.

The only reason I can accept Denny coming back is for Izzie to dream of him and because Izize is really confused at the moment, Denny will tell her something and she can finally let him go. Izzie will come back to her senses, and be the Izzie of season 1/2, which is the real Isobel Stevens…courageous and one of the best interns. Making her sick is not good tv.
