Grey’s Anatomy Scoop: No Pregnancy for Callie?
A glance at Michael Ausiello’s new Ask Ausiello column over at Entertainment Weekly didn’t reveal much we didn’t already know. Rose is definitely back for season five, and “stirring up trouble” for Meredith and Derek. Katherine Heigl is definitely back as well. He did reveal that according to Shonda Rhimes the “major kiss” from the season finale was not MerDer but rather Alex and Izzie.
However, Ausiello did relate a very interesting tidbit regarding the rumor that Callie might be the one pregnant in season five: “a reliable Grey’s insider insists ‘it’s not true.’” Now, whether that means that the entire rumor about a pregnancy in season five is bogus, or that it’s simply not going to be Callie, it’s not quite clear. And of course, there’s always the question of whether the denial is true at all.
So, if it isn’t Callie and it isn’t Rose (Shonda said it wouldn’t be), that leaves us with Meredith, Adele, Izzie, and Lexie. Or perhaps the Grey’s Anatomy crew decided to shoot down the pregnancy idea altogether. Then again, if you read carefully, Ausiello said, “There’s a rumor going around that Callie will start the season with a little McSteamy in the oven…” Doesn’t mean she won’t have another panic attack about her attraction to Hahn and jump back into the sack with McSteamy and get pregnant later.
I guess we can speculate until our fingers fall off and our brains cry for mercy, but what else is there to do in these lonely, Grey’s Anatomy-less months?
What do you make of all of this? No pregnancy at all? No pregnancy for Callie? Or are the Grey’s Anatomy people simply trying to confuse us?

I think no preggers at all. It has shades of gizzie written all over it. I am sure GA writers are more than smart enough to learn from their mistakes.
I think Rose will produce plenty of early season drama in a season that is billed at lighter.

I keep reading these about Callie being pregnant with McSteamy’s baby, but what about George. they were “trying” to get pregnant for like a day, then it was Gizzie. But, in greys anatomy land it’s only been a few months, so she could easily be pregnant with Georges baby…I think.

omg i sooo cant wait till season 5…the suspense is killing me i wish the premeire was more than 2 hours. I think izzie is gonna be preggers probably mid-season or close to tha beginning. My money was on callie but im not sure what to believe. Maybe callie will start the season with a little mcsteamy in the oven.

I am still hoping and praying that whoever is pregnant (if there is a pregnancy) its not at any time Callie!
I couldn’t take another lesbian s/l revolving around a preganancy…its just too much!!!
I personally hope that no one is preggers, but if it has to be someone, let it be Izzie or someone else I don’t really care about (although Izzie is pretty much the only one who falls into that catagory for me!)

I am still thinking it’s Callie as well, but who would be the father? George or Mark? I seriously don’t mind which character is pregnant, as long as it isn’t Rose, because MerDer needs to be bright and shiny!!! Although I would like to see Alex as a father because he has changed so much lately…CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON FIVE!!! :-D

my guess.. it’s meredith.. she’was talking about
kids already in the last epi (which is unlikely for her because even the talk of marriage made her turn around the other way)
but we’ll see… there are always changes in the
materials anyway..the shonda way.

u know what i think callie izzie and mer are all gonna be pregnant in this season. One at the start of the show, one mid-season and one in the finale. I think the show will start off with a close-up of a pregnancy test in maybe a trashcan or something and we wont know who it is until like the end of the episode.
The suspense is killing anyone have links to the transcripts they use for the table read or some production photos of them filming the 5th season. I need some illegal sources to keep me sane ppl im going crazy.

I kinda agree with Michelle after reading her comment. I mean that would be really cool if three people were pregnant. I would guess that Callie would be the first, Izzie the second, and Mer the third. I would like to see that, but hey, anything could happen!!! Counting down the days until season five…

i seriously think its going to be rose whose preggers. it WOULD start alot of controversy or she could pretend to be pregnant just to get derek back. i REALLY hope its not rose, bc i want mer/der together, but i think the probability is high.

Could it possibly be Beth that is pregnant? You know, the girl with the tumor from the finale that lived…… That coupling seemed to have signifigant impact on Meredith and Derek.
