Katherine Heigl Rides a Hot Air Balloon on the Set of The Ugly Truth

Katherine Heigl has been filming her next movie, The Ugly Truth, starring Gerard Butler. Looks like the film is going to feature a neat hot air balloon scene as the actress was photographed on the set getting into the contraption.

The release date for the film is still a year away – currently slated for an April 2009 launch – but production is well underway. The romance comedy stars Heigl as a “romantically challenged morning show producer” who gets involved in “a series of outrageous tests” orchestrated by her correspondent (played by Butler). All of this leads to “an unexpected result.” My guess is that the “unexpected result” is them falling in love. But that’s just a guess.

Somewhere in there I’m assuming there’s a hot air balloon ride.

The good news is that when asked about balancing the movie business with Grey’s Anatomy, Katherine Heigl said, “It’s a real blessing because I love both and so I can do them both and not be completely ready to blow my brains out.”

So at least it looks like she’s still happy with things on Grey’s Anatomy.
