Grey’s Anatomy Discussion: 4.16/4.17 “Freedom”

Well, the day is upon us. The two-hour season finale of Grey’s Anatomy is only a few hours away. Are you excited? Are you bouncing from anticipation? I know I am!
I’m opening up a discussion thread so we can funnel all of our excitement about tonight’s episode into an easy to find place.
Last week I polled the Grey’s Anatomy News community to see who you thought the lucky couple would be partaking in the “major” and “unexpected” kiss we’ve been promised. Despite the comments stating that no way would it be Meredith and Derek it does seem like a vast majority of you do think MerDer will be it. Now, no doubt they’ll be locking lips in tonight’s episode, but are they really the major and unexpected kiss? Guess we’ll find out!
I’ll be posting a recap of the episode this weekend, so for those of you with no access to the episode check back here for the play-by-play. But of course do pass by after the episode to discuss the events of the finale; the good, the bad, the shocking … or perhaps the disappointing.

Derek isn’t going to die on his way to Rose and all should be well for MerDer in season 5 (just the normal relationship issues). Shonda lets this out of the bag in the podcast on abc.com.
I am so glad that George will finally get a chance to re-write his exam. I hate the fact that he is sidelined and I also hate that he almost isn’t a friend with the others. I hope Izzy continues to be his best friend and I would love it if he would move back into the house!!
Also, I am slightly shocked at how Sloan was soo accepting of the whole Callie/Hahn thing..! He knew all along? I don’t get it.
mark turned over a new leaf, and is starting not to be as selffish as he use to be. i think the major character developments in season 4 in particular the last 5 episodes, have come along quite well. shows us there is still more to come
the girl with the brain tumor’s real name is Jurnee Smollett.
im still in awe of the last episode. it was everything a show should be..now the music is driving me nuts i can not find “the quest” by bryn the dude any where and i have to have it. help
season finale for me was “OK”…but i really think that they should do more storyline on Cristina…come on…she is so talented…we would like to see more her in Grey’s…please use her talent to make the story better…she needs someone as her partner…bring Dr Burke back for example?????
I’m not into Alex that much…but i think he nailed those two episodes…
Hahn and Callie…yuck!!!please, just let Callie with Mark…it’s more steamy to see…
Derek and Meredith…ermmm…so lazy to comment…whatever!!!
I want to see old Bailey…it seems that she no longer “Bailey” that i used to adore so much…i really miss Bailey from Season 1, 2 and 3 of Grey’s

Don’t ruin a decent show by having gay people on. Let it be normal. Gay people are fine. In privacy, lot of youner people can watch the show. If it goes gay than a lot of parents and people will not be watching. Including me, It will be hard to stop, but I am adament,
