Brooke Smith Adopts a Baby Girl

Brooke Smith, the actress behind Dr. Erica Hahn, has recently adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia. This marks Smith’s second daughter. The forty-year-old mom and her husband, Stephen Lubensky, have a five-year old girl named Fanny.

Brooke Smith had told People back in October that they’d been considering adoption and it looks like they finally went through with it. The couple has traveled to Africa in order to film a documentary on conservationists in Zimbabwe. Though there’s no definite plans for a permanent move, Smith did add, “We still might end up there some time.”

Hopefully it will be a long time from now. I’m not ready to lose Dr. Hahn yet!
