Patrick Dempsey Drops Major Spoiler for Season Finale

Attention all MerDer fans! In an interview with AOL, Patrick Dempsey himself dropped a major spoiler for the MerDer relationship in the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy.

Here’s the full quote from McDreamy: “I have like a rainbow colour of pages in front of me that I’m trying to put together in my script, and I just got to the final scene. And it’s a beautiful scene where (my character and Meredith) get back together. It’s really quite something. It’s unexpected, I think, the way it plays itself out. It kind of gets back to the essence of what made this show so great.”
It’s looking like that major and “unexpected” kiss we’ve all been speculating about might turn out to be Meredith and Derek after all! Of course, as many of you pointed out, a MerDer kiss is anything but unexpected so perhaps Patrick Dempsey is just trying to distract us from the real major kiss of the episode. I think someone suggested George and Bailey? Hey, George did say they were in love and headed to Vegas. Why not! 
Now then, does this change your minds about the major kiss or are you convinced it’s going to be someone other than Meredith and Derek?

I knew that it would be them…some other spoiler or whatnot that I had seen.
I really hope they don’t, and seriously doubt, that they make Bailey and George a couple. He’s just a good friend trying to help her save her marriage. I believe that George has the utmost respect for Bailey, and rightfully so. And he may love her, but not in that way. He was merely being sarcastic when he told the Chief he would be taking her to Vegas to get married. It was humorous though.
I personally wouldn’t mind seeing George and Lexie getting together. Even if they don’t, I still love the relationship that they have.
The Callie/Hahn kiss was good at the end of this past week’s episode. I hope the Mer/Der kiss tops its intensity. Though I doubt the kiss will be a surprise to anyone who has ever seen the show before.
If “Grey’s” continues with graphically touting lesbianism, I quit.
I thought the kiss between Torres and Hahn disgustingly graphic. Keep Torres and get rid of Hahn.

MerDer comes together AT LAST!!!! I hope McDreamy knows that Rose is a biiiiiiig mistake. And Rose sees them when they kiss, so she is automatically OUT. Meredith is sooooo in love with him but was afraid to step it up while she was with Derek. Remember that speech he gave with “and die at 120 in your arms” etc etc? THAT was Derek taking all his feelings and she was going to turn away. God, I wish Meredith would NOT be afraid and GO FOR IT!!!!!

Call me stupid, but I think its Chief and Bailey, I have thought they should be together for a long time…. Very happy about MerDer getting back together, and I hope Izzie and Alex. Does anyone know if someone is really suppose to be pregnant? Or was that Ava/Rebecca preg. it?
Yeas someone else will be pregnant. There is a fantasy challenge in ABCs website and one question was who will be pregnant in the final episode. And the options were Lexie, Callie, Cristina, Bailey or some one else.

I agree that the kisses between Meredith and Derek are much more graphic than the kiss between Callie and Erica last week. Heck, we’ve seen them doing the McNasty. I think it is interesting that they are exploring different types of characters. We couldn’t see tongue, there was no heavy moaning or groping… I think it was tastefully done.

there is a photo of meredith outside of derek’s trailer, and she looks pregnat. so there is alot of speculation that she might, her boobs look fuller to people have said, if i believe it, i have to watch and see it.
yes yes yes! they’re getting back together and HOPEFULLY they will stay together this time.. theyre perfect for each other, they really are and i think they need to realize that they have both changed and it seems like its for the better.. i hope they stay together for the next season, throughout the whole season this time.

I think my feelings about the original season never realy went away they were just changed as the show progressed. although i think all this stupid un-needed drama between mer&der will make the show better when its gone. i know, i know. drama is what makes T.V., but maybes its just me but i love happy ending that arnt at the end! ( :

louis254 – Please take your homophobia elsewhere. I think that the kiss shared between Callie and Erica was tasteful and well done. “Graphic” would have been hair grabbing and someone being pushed up against the wall……oh wait. That happened in season one between Meredith and Derek. And I doubt you called it graphic. Again, stop with the negativity and close mindedness.
I have a feeling the unexpected kiss that has been repeatedly alluded to may NOT be between Derek and Meredith. Though, I have no doubt they will have a beautiful scene together – that is no secret.
I have a sneaky sense that this show-stopping, lean-in-worthy kiss will be between the Chief and Bailey. While he does occasionally look to be patching things up with his wife, there has always been a little something for Miranda. And I guarantee, most fans won’t see it coming.
Ps: George and Bailey? Come on, anyone who is a real fan knows that wouldn’t be Shonda’s style.
Regarding the big kiss, I just pray its not Callie and Erica again. I’m not closed minded, I’m tired of the gay card. “Housewives” played it last season, “Earl” is toying with it, “Brothers and Sisters” started with it. “Two and a half Men” started with the gay issue and it bombed so the issue disappeared, and as I recall so have many other shows. Since I have stopped watching shows that portray gay as normal, please, please, please, let the Callie and Erica thing be a one time thing. I’m not homophobic I’m not stupid either. I know homosexuality has a higher incidence in the entertainment industry therefore making it appear to many as normal. I’m a minister and “Grays” is my only vice. Yes, Grays is full of infidelity and fornication, but that’s something I deal with on a daily basis. However, tackelling the gay issue in the suburbs isn’t that common of an occurrence. I’d just like to watch a show without homosexuality.
What about Mark and Callie!? Someone said something about someone being pregnant so maybe it’s her. We know she wanted kids with George and we know Mark wanted kids with Addison. They are both leading cast members but so far have only tagged along with other more important story lines. Now Meredith and Derek are finally together maybe Shonda is exploring the other cast members. I mean, come on, there is only so much she can do with them until she’s just repeating herself! It’s not like Cllie and Mark havn’t been having enough sex to get pregnant either, and them two getting together sorts out the whole Hahn/Callie thing too. Just a thought
Look I really really want mer and der to be together but it could be Patrick Dempsey’s way of throwing everyone off as well. Just throwing that out there!
Homophobic, maybe… but I really don’t want to watch love scenes w/ two women. I believe on cable, there is a network that has that all day long. I dont mind if Callie and Hahn are gay. I just can’t stand having to turn my head so I dont get disgusted( Brothers and Sisters) because that is something I cannot relate to. Heterosexuals are still the majority.
HOPE- Greys Anatomy is an excellent show that teaches so many different real life scenarios I’m sure they want to keep it real and homosexuals a part of the society and there are so many gay and lesbians that are excellent doctors and surgeons why not portray some of them on the series? I feel sorry for you because homophobia is one of the worst phobias…I recommend you not to go out of your house and don’t watch TV at all because Homosexuality is EVERYWHERE is a part of everyday life, you would never be able to get rid of …. is so sad to have your disease…

I must admit – I did not like Hahn – she is a bitch – but her and Callie? That is a different matter and will defo make good veiwing in season 5. Cant wait to see how this grows and how Seatle Grace take the news. Greys writers are fantastic yet again. I just hope that any future strikes dont disrupt Grey’s the way the last one did
