Grey’s Anatomy Rumor: Katherine Heigl Wants to Leave Grey’s Anatomy?

by Ingrid Diaz on May 10th, 2008

ImageAccording to “a source” at Canada.com, Katherine Heigl has been trying to leave Grey’s Anatomy due to long hours and a desire to “move on.” Hm. I am very hesitant to believe this at all, unless she’s decided she enjoys films more than television. She’s currently filming The Ugly Truth, a romantic comedy also starring Gerard Butler.

No official confirmation of this has been spotted so I’m hoping this proves to be an ugly rumor and nothing more. I can’t imagine Grey’s Anatomy without Izzie.

Oh well…if she is ready to go let her go. The series will be different without her but she really is not the most important character on the show.

I like Izzie sometimes but at times she really get on my nerves. She is just to ditzy most of the time.

I love Izzie. I hope she stays on the show. She makes mistakes, but who doesn’t. I love the part when she tells George they can’t be seen together because his wife is her boss, hahahahaha. He broke up with his wife to be with her. Find a new girl for George. Izzie should get on with her career. I know she can finish her schooling. Please talk her into staying, and give her a little time off.

I am with you Shelia. I find it easy to believe she wants off. There is more money to be made doing movies. There is a 3 month commitment compared to 9 months. There is more chance to play a wider variety of characters. So if her movie career is taking off (which it seems to be) then not being tied down to the show and 9 months of 14 hour days would be a good thing for her. I wish her well and would not miss Izzie at all.

I think she is letting a little bit of success get to her head. I used to really like her, but not as much since she bashed the movie that made her a success, “Knocked Up.” I think she was good as Izzie in the first few seasons of Grey’s, but I think she has lost a lot of what made people like her to begin with.

I heard that she recently signed a contract extension because they are paying her more.
