I posted a few weeks ago about the Grey’s Anatomy cast’s current projects and amongst them was Patrick Dempsey’s upcoming film, Made of Honor, a romantic comedy about “a guy in love with an engaged woman who tries to win her over after she asks him to be her maid of honor.”

Well, the film now has an official release date: May 2 and an official website.

Here’s the trailer if you haven’t seen it already. The film looks hilarious. I can’t wait to see it!

wow i cant wait to see that movie !!!!!!

  2. Melanie says:

Someone pointed out to me that the movie is just about the same thing as “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” but with the gender roles switched. I wonder if it will end the same way.

  3. Ann says:

I would have to agree with Melanie

  4. Ingrid says:

Yeah it does seem very similar, though wasn’t the guy gay in My Best Friend’s Wedding? I forget how that ended.

  5. Melanie says:

In the end of My Best Friend’s Wedding, Julia Roberts’ character gives up on trying to take over her best friend. He gets married to the other woman. Her gay friend comes to the wedding and they dance together.
    Just a refresher.

  6. Meg says:

She loved her friend who ended up engaged….they didn’t end up together =/

yo this movie looks really good haha it takes a real man to be a made of honor that is funny

  8. Dj Nook says:

Man, this looks like the worst movie ever. And that Billboard is so bad.

Is this the best script Dempsey could find? Does he have an agent?

    This guy is a loser

It is worst comedy I ever seeen. So far the worst was Hot Rod, but this one pushed Rod far back… Hot Rod with all its stupidity and lack of any talent still has some originality… Made of Honor is a cliche in its absolute form…
Patrick Dempsey is very sweet and good as usual, but Michelle Monoghan is soooo miscast… There was no chemistry and no connection between them. And lets face it Patrick is not comedian type… It was a mistake to take this role… Althoug, he must provide for his growing family. He does it in a way he knows – by acting… It’s not his fault, it’s his job.

    what’s the end?

  11. Shirley says:

Haven’t seen it yet. Only the previews and ads. Looks good to me. Has to be good if Patrick is in it. I loved Enchanted and I’m sure I’ll love this one, too. And remember, every star now and then gets a dud–such as 27 dresses for Katherine Heigl. What a bore that was! Made of Honor will play here in two more weeks and I’ll be in the audience.

notice: the movie is titled MADE of honor, and not MAID of honor. This might lead one to believe that in the end, mcdreamy has to be MADE OF HONOR and let the girl go, much like julia roberts. of course, it might be meaningless, but why wouldn’t it be titled MAID otherwise? something to ponder… i myself am not going to see the movie. but that’s just me.
