Grey’s Anatomy “Lay Your Hands On Me” Discussion

Last night’s episode was all about faith. Faith in ourselves, faith in each other, faith in something bigger than ourselves.
And now with nothing left to watch for many months to come, I’m left wondering a few things.

What do you think healed Bailey’s son at the end? Was it the faith healer? Was it the surgery? Was it a combination of the two?

Do you think the faith healer managed to heal herself with Izzie’s help or do you think she coded and had to be rushed into surgery? I liked that it was left unsaid one way or the other.

Do you think the writers are going to pursue the Hahn/McSteamy relationship or do you think they put some closure to that with last night’s episode? Would you want them to pursue it?

Meredith and McDreamy … how long til they get back together again? lol

Rose and McDreamy … how long do you think they’ll last? I give it five episodes.

Do you think Izzie and Alex will ever get together for real? It’s so obvious that Alex is in love with her. No matter how many Jane Doe’s cross his path.

George and Lexie? The episode seemed to imply that they might move in together.

Callie and Hahn seem to be developing quite the friendship. I find them hilarious together. Do you like them?

Bailey’s marriage …. divorce or counseling?
I really enjoyed last night’s episode. I laughed, I cried. I thought the acting really shone. Props to Chandra Wilson on a great performance.
A lot of people seem tired of the whole back and forth between MerDer, and I am kind of looking forward to the whole Rose/McDreamy storyline just to have some kind of change. But I guess it’ll be a while before we find out what happens.
OMG I am soo mad there are not any episodes left!!! I love cali and haun together and I think that haun and mcsteamy should defanatley hook up!! I wish mer and mcdreamy would get married and be happy I want happiness for mer she soo deserves it ya know I love her she is great and chandra wilson (baily) is such an inspriration to me they should go to consuling they were so happy in te begin- I also think eva and karev need to get together for good or maybe he would be good withh lexie I love this show !!! I soo hope the writers can get what they want and come back to work we miss you with out you guys the world stops!!!!!
I am hoping for Meredith & Derek to get together soon FOR GOOD! I LOVE MEREDITH & DEREK.

Mer/Der/Rose…NEEDS TO END! Mer and Der have to get together because you can only have the make-up break-up go on for so long…over three seasons is enough

yea haun and steamy would be good but steamy and calli also hooked up so that would be nice too calli needs to be happy I love calli i was mad about george and izzi although izzi is a fav of mine she and george should have happened before calli and george ya know -
So, Season 4 is over? I can’t believe it! I am a huge Grey’s fan but I have to agree that this season went down hill. It was really slow at first and then built up to be interesting when it came to an end.
How many season’s does poor Meridith have to go on being so independent, self centered, and cold hearted toward Derek? I thought the house idea was a sweet suggestion made by him. He so wants to be committed to her now since Addison is gone. Heck, he wanted the committment then too. I really dislike the Rose character! I don’t like the idea of Derek with her. I agree with the previous post that a “Fatal Attraction” storyline would be interesting with the three. It seems as if Meredith was very upset to find out about Rose and it really ended this time. So maybe she could find out that she’s pregnant with Baby McDreamy. (Just a thought?) I do like the fact that Meredith and Lexie are working on a sisterly bond. That will definetly help out her opening up issues.
I love George & Izzy, but just not together. He is just a great all around guy that is very confused. She is a more outgoing type that is looking for more than sensitivity. Maybe the roommate situation of George and Lexie will turn out to be more than that and besides Alex & Izzy click more to me. I hope Alex’s character grows out of the “player” characteristic. I did, however like Ava, but she’s married and can’t decide what she wants.
I feel so sorry for Callie. She is a really good doctor and person. When she told George’s Mom she liked being an O’Malley, I cried. She is the sweetest and just wants to be a part of a family. The friendship between her and Haun is hilliarious, even though I don’t like the character of Erica Haun. I didn’t like it when she was at Mercy West and I don’t like it at Seattle Grace! She is to stuck up with the “better than you” attitude. I don’t like how she does Christina. Obvisously, she’s jealous of her. Christina needs more of a storyline, somehow.?
Poor McSteamy is losing his steam…lol. He seems to be a better match with Rose. He really needs to find some sort of commitment.
Oh, and Miranda Bailey…she’s the woman. lol. She is so strong and faces so much. I really hope that she and Tucker go to counseling. They are the only family on there and need to stay together.
Chief is awesome too. He needs a hobbie though. I would like to see new characters in Grey’s. Not as staff but as friends or possible love interest. Maybe a new bar tender at Joe’s, neighbors, or visitors at the hospital. It would be a change but nothing that will a continuing factor.
The best thing about Grey’s is that the characters are REAL. I really think Shonda Rimes is great. She has done a great job in the reality of the show with the diffrent situations that occur. I sure hope that the next shows are better. Even if it was worse, I would still watch to see what happens. No matter how bad it is, Grey’s will be my favorite show. It’s just one of those things I can’t get enough of. It’s my addiction!
Leanna I agree I love this show it is awesome and I wish der and mer could be happy and together maybe there will be a HUGE accident and der can not go on his date with rose??? I hope it comes back soon I need my greys!!!!

One thing I really liked about this episode is that Meredith FINALLY brought up that when she first dated Derek she trusted him completely. She told him about her mother. No one else knew about that. Derek stomped all over her trust SEVERAL times.
I would like to see Rose stomp all over Derek and spit HIM out .
It would be SO awesome for Meredith to be allowed to put the past where it belongs and see the errs of her ways or at least allow Derek to help her like he tries to time again…This way she can once and forever get back with and stay with Derek and raise their McAwesome family…
please don’t hurt me…. but i have to say that i think hahn is a lesbian and she’s going to make a move on callie. i think the things she said to sloan were just to appease his pride.
even brooke smith, who plays dr. hahn, said that she and sandra oh suggested they have a love affair (they worked together previously as a couple on broadway, i think). so the idea has been planted in the writer’s heads.
and i’m SO tired of the back and forth of der/mer. they’ve already broken up twice this season!! rose is a breath of fresh air!
I’m sick to death of Meredith not knowing what she wants, and now growing up. How long are they going to drag this out with her? Derek deserves to be happy with someone, so why not Rose (for now)? If Meredith’s not careful it’ll be too late for her. And I wouldn’t feel bad for her at all. Everything she does, she does by choice, including not getting over her stupid selfish ways.
It sounds weard, but i want Meredith to be pregnant. I mean, look at how she reacted at Bailey and the whole ”Live seems easier when you look at a baby” think. Mere had a look in her eyes.
I’d be fun to see Meredith pregnant with Baby McDreamy,with all her hormones:)

I would like Karev & Izzie back together. He was less of a complex guy when he was with her… And do you all remember his reaction when Izzie told him she slept with George…
All the storylines could be interesting, but Meredith really has got to figure out what she wants and stop “whinying”…
I liked her with Shepherd, but how long can a man be patient? Half the world (female part!) is in love with McDreamy, so she’s one of the few women who can’t see he’s a catch?

I agree with Miller. I am pretty fed up with Meredith and her whining. Derek is probably better off with Rose. I think they might actually have fun, and then it would be more fun to watch the show. It’s just getting old – Rose and McDreamy would be new and fun.
Miller and Danner do you seriously think meredith does everything by chice and that she desreves to be constanly regected by the people she loves? well shame on you!
The poor girl didnt become the way she is in 1 or 2 months it took years almost all her life. Secondly, she is not crazy she is clinically depressed and that i think is an illness, derek of all people should know that.
i think derk is a hypocrate, she would never have admitted to that kiss if meredith didnt confront him. He too was looking for an excuse to get rid of meredith and get into rose’s pants. well he has his wish, they deserve each other. for what its worth he is not the last man on earth neither is he as near to being mcdreamy as everyone thinks he is. I hate guys that lie and derek as far as i can see is a good and manipulative lier.he can go and build a house for himself and rose, if he likes he can even start having kids with her straight away, who cares.

There is noone who loves Greys as much as me but I’m pretty dissappointed at the turn of events from Lay Your Hands On Me ep… firstly there is NOT ONE relationship in any of the ENTIRE seasons where a relationship has worked on Greys…. what are they thinking … in RL some relationships DO WORK !!!!!
Mer and McDreamy SHOULD be together…. whats with the additions of Rose ????? We do not need ROSE they have enough probs to work our without intervention of yet another ….example McVet, McWife, McPickups from the bar….. give Mer and McDreamy a break please writers (when you come back)… I for one WANT to see Mer and McDreamy together !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok thursday’s episode was the best one of the season and i’m quite upset that there wont be any more for a while…
the case with bailey’s son had me on edge the whole time and if he died i dont know what i would have done. i loved how they made bailey freak out though it really showed a lot about her character.
i think hahn and marc would be so cute together and theyre perfect for each other cause theyre both so cocky. i love what she said to him, she’s leaving him wanting more and its great. oh and i love callie and hahn being best friends, theyre so funny together.
george and lexi i dont know. it made it seem like they might have some feelings for each other but maybe its a little too early to tell.
alex and izzy have been on and off since the beginning of the show and its sort of starting to bug me. yes they would be cute together but alex is so terrible to izzy all the time.. idk
and now for dereck and meredith. its so obvious that they deserve each other 100%. no matter what happens between them they are always going to love each other thats just inevitable. i thnk its gonna be like a rachel and ross thing fro friends between them. theyre each gonna date different people and theyre gonna get into fights and disagreements, but at the end of the show theyre gonna end up together just like they were meant to.
haun gay hmmm that would be funny but greys has so many issues right now why bring in more they need to clear up some first to make room for more der and mer NEED to be together the whole show is based on them together so rose needs to go jump off a building and leave der alone mer needs him and they should be happy they both deserve it

Rachel/Ross relationship was funny and entertaining, Mer/Der is just getting annoying. As much as I love Greys, a lot of the drama is way ti to whinny.

This is going to sound weird, but I wish something bad would happen to Derek. So far, Meredith has had a lot of big stuff to deal with: chronically ill mommy, real mommy dying, fake mommy dying, nearly dying herself, appendicitis, estranged wife returning (even though we liked her because she was smart and capable and pretty), being rejected by her father, and the critical beginning of her career. Derek’s only big life issue was Addison.
I’d like to see her in an emotionally good place, for once, and give him a real problem to deal with. It could be something serious, in or out of the hospital, like malpractice or a family crisis with his sister. It could be something that’s really trivial but that he blows out of proportion, like thinking he’s losing his amazing hair. How he handle it, and would she react to him?
If there’s going to be any parity with these two, I think he’s got to walk in her shoes.
Mer has issues of her own. Der has lying/trust issues of his own. In all honesty, if I was in Mer’s spot, I would move on. The man lied from the get go (MARRIED). If he was able to have a relationship w/her while married (even while trying to work it out w/Addison like at the prom), what would stop him from doing the same to her? He confessed his love to her, then kissed Rose, then shows her plans of a dream home . . . all within a matter of DAYS!! The writers/producers/whoever have done a GREAT job w/the Mcdreamy character. A handsome man portrays him, talks sweetly (most of the time), does sleezy things and yet is forgiven by the viewers.
Meredith & Derek just need to be together. That’s all there is to it. I can’t stand watching Grey’s when they are not together.

Ingrid Diaz, people prefer to boycott Greys’ than to watch MerDer apart again, especially for a stupid plot device like Rose.
