Katherine Heigl Celebrates Josh Kelley’s Birthday

January 30, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz

Katherine Heigl Celebrates Josh Kelley's BirthdayAccording to People, Katherine Heigl threw a big birthday bash for husband Josh Kelley this past Tuesday night. Invited to the festivities were ten of the couple’s closest friends, including our beloved, T.R. Knight.

“It was really important to me to celebrate Josh in a fun and intimate way,” Heigl, 29, told PEOPLE. “I just wanted tonight to be in an environment we both really love and we really love this place. This was the perfect combination of an intimate dinner with friends and a bigger thing at the bar where everyone can kick back and enjoy each other but it’s mellow.”

The whole night seems to have been a blast for everyone involved, though for the newlyweds in particular, I imagine. People.com has all the details of the event for those of you who want to know it all!

Happy belated birthday, Josh Kelly!

Actually, it’s more of Kate ranting about the list in a hilarious and brilliant way. Cause she’s awesome.

Looks like Los Angeles is cooling down temperature wise, so Katherine Heigl’s had to switch out her summer scrubs for some warmer outfits.

Here she is, looking beautiful as ever, of course. :)

Katherine Heigl Collection of Scrubs

I’m pretty sure some people rolled their eyes a bit at the announcement that Katherine Heigl was starting up her very own line of scrubs. But it seems to be doing well, so I’m sure there’s even more people who thought, “Hey that’s an awesome idea!”

Despite the fact that a lot of us are still freezing our little bums in Winter time, The Katherine Heigl Collection is in full summer bloom.

Katherine Heigl Hates That She Smokes

January 23, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz

Katherine Heigl SmokingIn an interview with The Washington Post Katherine Heigl revealed the following on the subject of her smoking:

“It’s so stupid,” she said. “I started when I was like 22 or 23, and I had my first cigarette at a bar one night, and I was like mmm. … I’ll try this. I can have just one. I am not gonna get addicted. Then you start bumming. I’m bumming. I don’t buy my own packs. I’m not addicted. Then you go through something that is hard or difficult or stressful and you buy your first pack and it’s all over,” said Heigl. “And now it’s all about how you’re going to quit,” she adds. “I’ve tried everything.”

I’ve tried Wellbutrin” – a anti-depression drug – “which made me really happy while I smoked. Tried the patch. Tried gum. I hate the gum. It burns my mouth. I think I have to quit the old-fashioned way.”

Of course, it doesn’t seem like she’s in the process of trying to quit. The actress was recently seen buying three packs of cigarettes at an L.A. gas station after her plane from JFK landed at LAX.

WGA Strike’s End Draws Near …. Hopefully

January 18, 2008 by Ingrid Diaz

Katherine Heigl showing support for WGA strikeThis isn’t a direct Grey’s Anatomy news bit, but it does have a very direct impact on our favorite show so I thought I’d let you guys know that the DGA (Directors Guild of America) seems to have reached a “tentative agreement on the terms of its new contract” which means that if the deal goes through it’s very likely that the WGA will drop the picketing signs and agree to something along the same lines.

So far negotiations with the writers have been pretty stagnant ever since the studios walked out of the December 7th sitdown.

Looks like the DGA worked out a deal under which members would receive monetary compensation for TV episodes online, which is mainly what the WGA has been fighting for anyway.

Let’s hope that this DGA deal goes through and that it means good things for the WGA as well. It’d be nice to get our writers back to writing our favorite shows. I’m sure they’d also like to go back to receiving some paychecks, too. ;)
