Grey’s Anatomy and Katherine Heigl Nominated for Golden Globes

Awesome news: The Golden Globe nominations are in and Grey’s Anatomy has been nominated for Best TV Drama Series and Katherine Heigl has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
Grey’s Anatomy is up against these dramas: Big Love, Damages, House, Mad Men and The Tudors.
Katherine Heigl is up against these ladies: Rose Byrne from Damages, Rachel Griffiths from Brothers & Sisters, Samantha Morton from Longford, Anna Paquin from Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and Jaime Pressly from My Name Is Earl.
The Golden Globes ceremony airs January 13, 2008 on NBC. I’ll definitely be watching!
Do you think Grey’s and Katherine have a good chance at winning?
i love love love katherine heigl..let me first state that. but personally, i would’ve much rather seen chandra wilson and/or sandra oh pick up a nod, or even all 3. i just don’t feel like izzie’s material is as strong as theirs. i dunno. i think both katherine and the show have a fantastic chance of winning though. after all katherine heigl is slowly but surely conquering the world! =]
I am sooo thrilled that Katherine has been nominated for the Golden Globes.
I want her to win because she is a very good actress and i just love that lady…so honest and real. She truly deserves the nomination.
As for Grey’s Anatomy…i dont know. Must say lost interest for awhile on the Gizzie story but now they have broken up, i think i will go back again but dont think GA deserves the nomination. The writings are very frustrating and inconsistant and not very imaginative.
I agree with Kristin…I would much rather see someone else from Grey’s Anatomy take something home…Chandra Wilson gives beautiful performances, she deserves it more. I love Katherine but the only time i can think of performance of hers on Grey’s Anatomy that stands out to me is when Denny died and that was forever ago…

I was excited to see Katherine be nominated, but I totally agree that some of the others should be too. I really hope that when the writers come off strike that they turn this show around. Here’s hoping!
I hope not because i want to see what beautiful gown she will show up in but if she feels strongly about the writers rights, then good on her. I just hope some non-fans will not critizie her for acting “snooty “again. I also want her to win because she so deserves the GG. She is so good as Izzie.
