Private Practice Picked Up For Full Season
Good news Private Practice fans! ABC has commanded a full 22-episode season for the show. Previously, they’d only ordered 13 episodes, but good ratings has assured the network that viewers are interested in tuning in week after week.
Private Practice comes in second after Gossip Girl on the list of new shows officially picked up for a full season, which is pretty impressive. Though ratings were down this week, it doesn’t look like the show is going anywhere for a while. I bet a season two will be looming in the horizon if these 22 episodes do well.
Let’s hope so! I don’t want Addison going anywhere (unless it’s back to Grey’s Anatomy!)
Are you guys surprised that ABC picked up the show already? Or at all?

I think that it’s not too much of a gamble for ABC; they know that people like Grey’s, but Private Practice is a different kind of show, nothing like Greys.
What PP has going for it, beside Kate Walsh, is Tim Daly and Amy Brenneman, who have a following respectively from TV shows Wings and Judging Amy/NYPD Blue.
I predict that these factors will keep it going for at least 3 seasons. –varKK
