Grey’s Anatomy 4.03 “Let the Truth Sing”

Last week I wondered what would bring Meredith and Lexi closer together and I was sort of expecting a big dramatic event that’d push them closer, but going by this week’s episode, I think it will be more of a little by little kind of thing.

I really enjoyed the episode this week.

Main thoughts:

  • Cristina and her pretend sadness was hilarious.
  • The whole truth theme was really refreshing. It was nice that so many of the characters got so much off of their chests.
  • Callie + Bailey = awesome. Once Callie bounces back from the Gizzie thing I’m really looking forward to seeing her take charge with Bailey by her side. It should be really entertaining.
  • This week Edward Hermann guest starred as a new intern. It was great to see him again (as I am a huge fan of The Gilmore Girls). I thought he did a great job. As far as I know, he’ll be around for a three episode arc.
  • I feel like the Meredith/McDreamy relationship is a bit … I don’t know. It’s just sex in the closet and then they don’t talk all episode. I haven’t settled on any particular feelings on the subject. I’d just like to see more interaction. Maybe now that Cristina knows.
  • R.I.P. Really Old Guy. Wonder where they’ll go to talk about their problems now?
  • Alex revealing to the other interns that George was a repeater was very grr. I wanted to slap Alex around a bit cause he can be so cold. But it was good for the truth to be out on that subject. I’m sure George was relieved on some level.
  • Alex and Lexi? Potential?

Next week, “The Heart of the Matter”, episode 4.04. Can’t wait.

What were your thoughts?

I saw people talking and moving on the tv screen…..yet I could not tell you what the episode was about it was SO boring. I am about to give up. I hate it because last year the shows were so good I would just cry….I was such a big fan!!!

I was happy that there was finally a little bit of that goofy greys humor i’ve come to know and love (really old guy’s eulogy) and i cannot WAIT for the callie-izzie “fight” next week! hopefully its as good as it looks. i’m just hoping it will start adding more story line instead of continuing in last seasons stories.

the humor was great, and cristina with her fake sadness was awesome!! sandra oh is a fabulous actress. i’m no meredith fan, but i like how she is depicted in this episode, so wise and mature, and yet doesn’t loose that meredith silliness she has. “for what it’s worth, i’m very fond of your mother.” that probably was the best, most sincere emotional words ever spilled out from her in the history of this show.

callie, wow, i’m gaining my respect back for her. so graceful and yet sad. bailey-callie is awesome, they’ll make a kick-ass residents team.

alex, go alex go! he’s pretty damn awesome and it’s about time that little whiny georgie has his cute butt kicked. alex is still my favorite character.

whats up with borderline-psychotic izzie? she needs to evolve more. her character just goes downhill. i used to like her in season 1 and half of season 2, until she got all crazy. she doesn’t have any edge no more. if really old guy wants to die, as a doctor she should at least respect his wish, but well, lil miss iz just made it all about HER. she needs a new, healthy love interest, stat.

other than that, other characters stay stagnant. and i’m still, rooting for more mark sloan!

i loved last night’s show! i was, however, a little disappointed that there wasn’t more interaction between meredith and derek. they really need to start interacting more, maybe they will now that cristina knows. i really hope george leaves callie and gets together with izzie! i know a lot of people don’t like that match up but i do!! i’ve known they were gonna hook up since the first season, and it finally happened!! next week’s show looks great, and i can’t wait to see it!!

Greys was great this week… I laughed and I was on edge, I think they are on their way back to the spotlight. Oh and the end when George let the truth be known I yelled at the TV when it went black that is the kind of Greys I am used to…And I to will miss really old guy.

ok so i loved this one so much. it was amazing. i was laughing the whole episode. i yelled at the tv at the end and they didnt let me know what happened. meredith and derek really need to just date. dont move in with eachother. dont break up. just date. that would be good. and the whole gizzy thing is just a little to much drama, but i get sucked into it anyway. i cant wait for next weeks fight. im so looking forward to it!

season 4 episode 3 was da bomb..lot of laughter and really good improvement on some of last season’s writing. loved the part with the really old guy demanding lobster and mcdreamy saying he is young in fact he is a fetus when asked by sloan if he feel old!! go greys

I pretty much liked the episode but I feel as though Edmund Hermann’s character was made to look the Buffoon. Seriously! MORE MER/DER. Shonda you’re getting there but please move a little faster. Loved the Mer/Lexie interaction!

I live for Grey’s. But we need more Meredith and Derek. I read in T.V. Guide they are bringing in another character to be a love interest for Derek. No good. I don’t understand why Shonda can’t let Mer/Der develop a mature, committed relationship right up to marriage!

Hate the Norman character. He adds nothing and the humor is lame.

Lexie has turned out to be a good guy just like her mother. Eventually, Meredith and she will come to terms.

What about Izzie? I liked her during seaon 1 and 2, but now she is just mean-spirited and awful. She sure got over Denny quickly. If George is dumb enough to choose her over Callie, then he deserves what he gets. Since he has been with Callie he has matured. And that’s good. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him fall for Lexie–they already hit it off and she is Meredith’s sister. If he can’t have Meredith……

I will keep watching and hoping.
