Most of the Grey’s Anatomy Cast Smokes

I don’t know how many people actually care about this little tidbit, but I ran across it and thought I’d mention it.

Apparently, most of the Grey’s cast smokes.

Lynn and Alex also report they saw Walsh, T.R. Knight, Justin Chambers, McSteamy Eric Dane (and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart) all smoking at the post-Emmy parties.

Might just be a social thing, but it’s hardly surprising. That said, does it matter to you that the actors smoke?

Katie Heigl also smokes. I don’t think it’s smart, but it is their decision to make. Kate Walsh had actually quit in the past and picked up the habit again.

yeah it actually bothers me a lil cause, in my point of view, they´re kinda like liars, since their caracters don´t smoke.

okay first those are real people they make their own decisions and the characters have there decisions made by the producers and writers if THEY as actors want to smoke all the world to them its there life :)

Well I think it’s a bit stupid of them, especially the ones with kids, but it doesn’t make a difference to their acting, and it’s legal… so it’s really not a big deal.

It’s just a little dissapionting…not that they’re primary role models for kids, but it’s just I wish they wouldn’t do it. It BAD for u. But i’ts their life

Who?

I live in northern california and not many people smoke here. We have serious no smoking laws here. In fact there is a city here where there is a law against smoking anywhere in the within the town’s limits.

I hope Mc Dreamy is not a smoker. I hope Meredith is not a smoker.

omg, guys get a grip. so they smoke, big deal, huh??
i mean, what they do or don’t do in fact is not for us to judge now don’t you think? it’s their life and they are all adults so they can do whatever they want. i don’t care if they smoke, they rock all the same.

just a question though…not to offend anyone, but why is it such a big deal for americans if somebody smokes or drinks? i don’t get it. i know totally off topic and i’m sorry for that but i was just wondering. because here in europe and in germany, where i live, the smoking age until recently was 16 and drinking age for beer and wine at least in bavaria is 16 also, for the rest 18 and nobody makes that big a deal out of people drinking or smoking, so yeah, sorry i let my head and mind change topics a lot ;)

back to the topic at hand, even when you see them smoke it doesn’t necessarily make them regular smokers, just a thought. a lot of people are occasional smokers, due to stress or at parties. so yeah, just my 2 cents on that.

I think smoking is disgusting and hate it when people do it. I mean, why increase so many health problems (lung diseases, yellow teeth, bad breath, cancer, etc.) when you can help it? They’re also increasing non-smokers health problems. But anyway, it doesn’t make me like them less, I just wish they were smarter.

What exactly are they “smoking?” If what they are smoking is legal for those over the age of 18, I really cannot see the point to wasting time covering it. After all, the only people that they will hurt with a decision such as this is themselves. What is next? Are you going to report on which members of the cast do not wear their seatbelt?

For those of you who are freaking out over why this was posted, chill out. It’s just like a poll–asking an opinion. Seriously, chill out.

Personally, I am a non smoker, so I find the habit in and of itself disgusting. If people want to do it, fine, but I prefer them to do it away from me. I don’t, and I don’t want my health affected because of someone else’s poor decision.

As for the cast smoking–I wish them the best in their effort to quit. Hopefully, they start soon.

And does anyone else see the irony in them acting on a hospital drama while doing something so bad for your health? :)

i think is gross and kinda funny cuz they work on a hospotal show and they have fake cases about lung cancer and stuff that should be there lesson

so what if they smoke. they’re real people outside of the show and they can make their own decisions.. it doesn’t directly affect the fans. i love each and every one of the cast members, this show is just gold. but complaining that the cast smokes is just pointless.

So what if they smoke and the characters the “play” do not.
Play is the operative word. Their characters are not real.
The choice they make in their personal life have nothing to do with who they are on the TV. Personally, I don’t care if they smoke…just as long as they don’t do it around me.

I am probably in the wrong blog to make these comments. The first episode of season 4 was great. nothing was dark and twisty. It was everything Shonda said. it was an uplifting episode: meredith and mcdreamy got together, lexie did not upset things for them and Izzie saved a deer’s life.

very funny. light humor. cute.

Second hand smoke is bad for spouses and children. it can lead to serious lung diseases.

Liars? how the hell are they liars? lol they don’t choose their storylines, it is written for them. in real life if they smoke, thats their choice…i mean is not a wise choice but who im i to judge them..i do things that aren’t good for me..it’s their life and this shouldn’t be a topic..who cares!
