A new regular comes to Grey’s
Remember Meredith’s half-sister Lexie (played by Chyler Leigh)? The one who flirted with Derek a little? ABC has confirmed that the character of Lexie has been bumped up to that of series regular. That should be interesting. Maybe we can stop seeing Meredith and Derek mope and snipe at each other and see Meredith trying to figure out a relationship with her half-sister instead.
In semi-related news, Private Practice welcomes KaDee Strickland (The Wedding Bells) as a doctor and hospital administrator who will also be a regular.

She may as well go back to where ever she came from. If she messes with Meredith and Derek then I think I shall stop watching the damn thing. Maybe she can be McSteamy’s latest or Alex or any other person other than McDreamy.

My guess is that they use this to create conflict between Meredith and Derek. Good luck on the false hope.

If she screws things up with derek and merdith then I hope Merdith hates her. And merdith and mcsteamy would make a great couple. I smell jealousy!!!!!

I didn’t really like the idea of her coming either, but bumping her up to a series regular? I dunno about that. Like maybe every other episode I could tolerate, but a regular?

i wouldnt be able to look at meredith if she went with mcsteamy..gah just imagine derek trying to look at her..i mean with addison he just walked away but he truly LOVES meredith..and punched steamy out just for talkin to mer.

i don’t like this decision, the character of lexie is not necessary, a forcing to the entire story.

I hope Lexie turns out to be really dumb and Meridith and McDreamy get back together, cuz they like totally split up i the last episode.. BOO LEXIE!

OK, I’m not at all looking forward to having Lexie as a series regular! You know something is gonna happen between her and Derek since things aren’t going so well with Mer and Der. I hope Meredith ends up hating her and I hope she doesn’t make things worse between Mer and Der.(even though that’s probably what’s going to happen.)

I think that is sucks she is coming on to greys anatomy, derek belongs with Meredith. Lexie coming on to the show is going to add too much drama for the two of them and they’ve already had enough!!

Seriously, if Lexie even thinks she can have McDreamy, she’s totally wrong. And it’s gonna ruin the show. Noone will like that. Meredith and Derek have come way too far for her stupid halfsister to take over now. They ARE meant to be together!

We all know what a tough time Merideth and McDreamy have had and I do think Lexie starting on the show will cause some issues. After all, there’s no longer any competition from Addison (yes, they split up a while back, but there’s always a spark between exes)! I wish Chyler luck as she not only has to steal/deal with Merideth’s relationship with Derrick, but she is the only family member to have prolonged contact with Merideth after Susan’s death. I’ll admit that I’ll probably dislike her character if she does cause problems, but I think it’s a great opportunity for an actress to play such a complicated role. What a challenge!

Mer and Mcdreamy belong together! I would hate to see that change in anyway. The new sister can pop up but she better not be after Mcdreamy!!
