Isaiah Washington Not Coming Back Next Season?

Despite the fact that several publications are now reporting that Isaiah Washington will not be back next season, and that he’s pissed off about it, the New York Times has stated that the Executive behind the news is remaining anonymous due to the fact that he’s “not authorized to speak for the production.”
Does that mean there’s a chance that the rumors are simply rumors and not actual fact?
Yahoo! News seems to be pretty confident in the fact that Isaiah Washington has indeed lost his job at Grey’s, quoting the actor: “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore,” Washington said in a statement released through his publicist, Howard Bragman, without elaboration.
This news seems pretty surprising, considering all of the steps Isaiah Washington has taken toward tolerance and gay-friendlyness.
It’s looking pretty official that Isaiah Washington won’t be returning next season. Anyone still harbor hope that this is just a rumor gone too far? Are you happy he’s gone? Or also ‘mad as hell’?

Well, I think it’s rigth to fire him. He is just an asshole at the moment! But in the seri self he’s not an asshole but sweet so I don’t no sure!
I don’t like the idea at all. What he do or said that is his personal life nothing to do with his work. He is a good actor and he done very well for this show

“Mad as hell” Washington has proved himself as a damn fine actor in GA, it would be a shame to lose him to political correctness, especially as he jumped through hoops to show that the comment he made was heat of the moment and not necessarily homophobic. We all make comments like that in the real world, we’re all human. However, I would take issue with the use of physical violence against Dempsey which is far worse than any homophobic slang he could have used. Pretty lame if they have fired him though.

That is the show’s loss. He is a wonderful actor and he brought so very much to the show.
