I am so sick of Meredith being depressed all of the time. She needs to get some life back into her! First, she was walking around the hospital like a zombie because Derek was with Addison and they were trying to work things out. Then she finally wins Derek (the moment we all have been waiting for) and then she plummits again willing to risk and lose Derek. She just needs to get a new make-over and stop looking so emaciated and lifeless all of the time. Bring the old Meredith back with the bouncy curls and color in her skin like the first season. And as for the new intern (Meredith’s half sister) I think that if Derek needed a new love interest that the show should have chosen someone that was not linked to Meredith Grey’s family. Someone totally hot, fresh, and new! I mean come on….What are the odds in that?

Ya I agree with Sherri. I personally feel like Mer isn’t even the main character anymore. When I think back on moments of the finale, she doesn’t stand out. And now that Derreck says he is is love, what the heck is she doing walking away? She finally gets what she wants and acts like it doesn’t matter. I hope her character comes alive next season. Any Lexi Grey? Kinda ‘odd’ but I think it’ll be interesting. But how is she related? I thought we’d met the whole Grey fam. Anyways, overall, the season finale was great but nothing beats Denny and Izzie to me.

Lexi is the sister that was in med school if I’m not mistaken. They mentioned that in a previous episode. That whole Mer, Lexi, McDreamy love triangle will be interesting next season.
Whatever. Derek is the one that needs to get over himself. He ignored her first remember, after the chief told him he may not get the position because he (the chief) had promised to look after Meredith. What a crock. For Derek to take that out on Meredith is stupid. It’s not her fault. Also it seems like everyone has forgotten about what a traumatic year it has been for Meredith. She almost drown, lost her mom, lost her stepmom, was assaulted by her real father and blamed for her stepmom’s death by him and then abandoned once again by him. How is any of this Meredith’s fault? Derek and his “she didn’t swim” crap is sickening. He needs to grow up and get over himself. I am proud of Meredith for telling him off– if he wants to see another woman, then break up with her, dont be so immature. I also agree with the fans that are saying the writers shouldve just let any couple be happy. I don’t know if I will watch next year, especially if this BS with Meredith’s half sister and Derek turns out to be true. Give us a break!

(and i hope that it won’t turn into a “ER” thing.) also meredith didnt actually say that she wanted to break up with derek. bedides in next season he might see what her response is to what he said about him loving her! you never know she might change her mind! I thought it was cute when he (derek) said that she (meredith) was the love of his life!!!!!
what would kinda cool is if, lexi would be one merediths inturns sense she passed the test! then she would kinda boss her around like dr.”miranda” bailey does with meredith, christina, izzy, alex, and george.
I also think that they should of just let anyone be happy!! Like meredith and derek or burke and christina. and whats up with burke?? why is he walking away!! i think that christina really wanted to get married to him!(i did like his vows though!)
i thought it was sad when she noticed that he was gone and when she said “i’m free”!

I felt like slapping Meredith when she walked away from Derek when he told her «she was the love of his life and to put him out of his misery». I felt like McDreamy was turning into Mcjerk with the chief thing but after hearing what he had to say about Mer always shutting him out…which I believe is true, I thought that maybe I had judge him too quickly. I don’t want to say it’s all Mer’s fault, they’re two playing that game but with that episode I felt like Mer pushed him away again. I can understand that Mer had a rough «time» but still…how hard it could have been to open up to the man who wants to be her knight in shinning whatever…
But I do agree that GA is slowly turning into a soap opera, way too dramatic, and what’s up with the half sister? That is soooo The bold and the Beautifull: Meredith, I am having an affair with…your HALF SISTER (put dramatic music here). I just pray to the power that be (the writers) that they wont make a love triangle with Mer’s half sister…that’s …..ewwww
I’m a bit dissapointed by the way the wedding of Burke and Cristina ended, by George maybe leaving…it was so depressing. I miss the laughter I had when I watched GA, this is what I loved about that show…One minute I’d be laughing my a$$ off and the next wiping a tear, now I feel like i’m just unhappy.
I suggest you guys go on to iTunes and sign up for the GA podcast. They explain why they did everything in the episode and why they sent the characters the way they did. It really is a great podcast, and its good to get that insight, especially after an episode like that finale. Everything else aside, I really do think it was a great episode, no matter how sad or disappointing some things may have been… it really set us up for next season.. so hopefully it will live up to the expectations.
i really do think that Mer and Der have gone through soo much already that it’s already getting annoying. so i really wish that they would be happier next season. and the whole thing with the Mer, Lexi, Derek love triangle, i mean, gosh, is the world really “that” small?! i dont really think so.
I absolutely hate the way things turned out with Mer and her dad and Lexi and Derek. and i think that Cristina’s wedding was the one thing she was holding on to. it was the symbol that said she and Derek could keep going. and Derek was being a complete jerk he ignored her first and he’s set her up for so many disappointments, it’s just horrible the stuff her does. and Cristina is like she said finally free. You could see sort of how Burke was changing her to fit the mold that he wanted. and you could see that she knew it too, in the finale when she just wanted to cut, to be a surgeon again. Burke had molded her from hard core surgeon to wishy washy half surgeon. it was really sad when she realized it in the end of the finale and how she knew he was gone when no one else could tell, u know the trumpet and the books and the cap were all gone and she could tell. i think she really loved him and him leaving hurt her but what hurt her most was realizing that what he said was true. thats just what i think, and oh Derek should not date or do anything with Lexi, that would be cruel to Mer.
-Oh i honestly think Christina needed a wake up call. To be honest, it is sad that they didnt work out but throughout the entire season she just couldn’t make up her mind, she never knew what she wanted, and she put this upon herself. Yes Burke was nudging her a bit, but thats how a relationship goes, sometimes you need a push in the right direction. She did love him, and she didnt HAVE to say yes to the engagement. She didnt HAVE to move in with him. I believe she did want to get married but Burke noticed that she wasn’t completely into it, and although it was bad timing, its TV, and what better way to leave then on the actually wedding day.
-As for George, i am just so confused on where he stands in the future of GA. Throughout the “real” problems on the show between him and burke about the whole homosexual confrontation, could this be the end of his character, or Burkes? Did no one else think about that? I HOPE George finds a way to stay, and i really hope he’s not going to be an intern again, unless he’s izzies intern – that my friends, will be interesting.
-I HOPE the chief stays because i do not believe Callie was the best person for the job, i honestly thought it was going to be Bailey. She’s there just as much as the chief is, and i truly believed she could have handled it just as much as anyone else. Callie is selfish knowing that Seattle is the best hospital and wanted George to take a position at some other hospital that was lower in the ranks compared to the hospital hes already in. I Dislike her. And i agree about the baby saving the relationship thing, in the end – its like taking a vacation when youre having problems, in the end – the problems do not leave. They will be right there when you return.
- I hope Alex wises up – loved him and Ava, i KNEW something was going to go on as soon as he saved her.
- Last but not least, the fact that Lexi is there makes me angry. Mer and Der will be back, she makes no sense, he makes no sense, but together they make sense. Lexi needs to leave immediately, and take Callie with her.
I am with everyone a little, I do hope that the writers are not planning on der and mer ending there relationship that would be all wrong. They have been to much together, he saved her life and she saved his. I believe she loves him and he loves her. However, so much has happen to both of them, that they do not know what to do. I do know if they part I will stop looking at GA and all have my friends to stop looking at the show as well. Please show some compassion for the fans everyone or most everyone wants them to stay together happily.
I know everyone is interested in Meredith and Derek but I am curious to see what is going to happen with Geoorge failing, Izzie and George and Callie? I heard that Callie’s character was not signed on for next season yet?!?! I just want something good to happen for George, just once !!!!!
ok # 1… why does meredith always think everything revolves around her and no one else in the world has problems besides her ??!! she really needs to get over herself.. anddd stopp being such a lil girl when it comes to derek… she has been wanting him to say that he loves her and all that and now that he finally does and she runs away…. ughh i wanna slapp that girl sometimes…

george and callie … callie only wants to have a baby because she wants george to be up her ass instead of Izzys… but HELLLLO doesnt she no bringing a baby into a ruff relationship doesnt make it better ?? it only makes things worse…

i agree with everyone, i also think that mer and derick should stay together, and if they ended it like that really. If everyone remebers after derrick signed the divorce papers he made mer, wait on pins and needles so i think derrick should stop being a baby and give merideth a second to get over all the dramatic things that has happen to the poor girl seriously!!! LOL thought i should through that one in.
Nicole, Callie is now the chief resident, so my guessing is that she’ll be there for the next season.
I want to know what’s going to happen with Dr. Bailey not becoming chief resident, and what’s going to happen with Dr. Webber still being the chief, and also what’s going to happen with him, and his wife?
I thought it was a depressing and undramatic season finale. Also, Meredith needs a tan! Also, no one really talks about Rebecca leaving the hospital, but I’m glad he missed his chance with her. He doesn’t know what he really wants. Mer and Der need a vacation together to get happy. She also looked at her test score with a look that maybe she failed. Maybe that’s why she pulled away from Der.

I’m with you. No one ever mentions the chief, but he is one of my favorite people on the show. I felt for Bailey, because she is the best. When she asked George where she had failed him, it was too sad. She should teach ethics to the rest of the crew, especially Dr. Designer Face McSteamy.
I will be very disappointed if the Chief leaves, but it looks like he may change his mind after all. I want something wonderful to happen for Bailey and for her to get the credit she deserves. I like Callie too, but she has some issues to resolve. I hope she stays on, George too. Getting tired of Izzie the witch and her insecurities and please send Meredith to a spa.
MerDer cant end yet they just gotback together i mean wut the hell!! Mer needs to suck it up and go with Der before it is too late! As for izzy and George, izzy needs to bud out and let callie and george be happ i mean for gawdsakes they are married get over ur lil affair!!!

I have been hooked on this show since the beginning, but it has put me through emotional roller coasters! I don’t know if I can take it.
-Christina and Preston need to be together, obviously… and Meredith and Derek need to be together.
Do any of you remember when meredith said that most people don’t know what they want, and when they have it, they don’t know that it’s what they want, something like that.. If she has all this wisdom, why not USE it?
Like everyone I got hooked on Mer Der and their intensity (much like Ross and Rachel on Friends; David and Addison on Moonlighting; Nikita and Michael on La Femme Nikita!!) But like all those shows,we have to accept that for the attraction to last, the pair has to constantly be split up (tension/barriers/drama). So in Season 3 – MerDer reached their peak (got their reunion/love fest) but it can’t last, otherwise the show will end.
So given previous episodes, I assume the following will happen: Der will need to get away (emotionally) from Mer (as advised by his McBitchy Sis) and find himself (what does he want in life, career, love – now that he’s not Chief); He got successful and lazy (as Addie said) so now what?….
He spent 11 years, married (‘Derek and Addison’ an ideal couple), right after college, driven by their careers, doing everything by the book (like Naomi from spin off) – the brownstown, the summer house, private practice, the reputation– the external life (but felt empty inside).
He needs to mend his friendship with McSteamy for he is his only family (his only ‘guy’ friend – a confidant, a brother, a male counterpart) get back to living, experiencing life as he wants it not reacting to things that happen to him (hidding out from a cheating wife, being a savior/protector to yet another woman in his life – he’s not the father figure as he was to his 4 sisters & mom).
He needs to build a house and move out of the trailer (which is temporary – also a state of mind) – he needs to go fishing, set up a private practice or teach. He needs to date without feeling like he has to commit (have fun, take risks – he’s so controlled). He needs to be Free (like Christina).
We need to get to know him – his childhood, his dreams, his bad habbits, his fears, everything (like we know Mer). So maybe Season 3 can focus on who Der is and what he wants to be.
Mer can also focus on what she wants to be -now that she’s survived the toughest year of her life. She can get her confidence back as a resident (she can choose a field – get inspired), a woman (despite the dark & twisty past) she can rebuild her self-esteem, strengthen her friendships, do fun and happy things (be carefree, don’t hide in men or seek their acceptance/love/protection) She needs to learn to accept herself, love herself and protect her spirit. She needs to be with someone like McVet (not perfect, with flaws so she feels normal)
Either way, I can’t wait for Season 4….
Each person has his opinion in this series , but come on you guys , why didn’t anyone think about Alex and Izzy , they must get back together especially after the disappointement they both had,Ava left Alex to be in her real life and george has to be with callie and for once in his life, he has to make a decision about his wife, he risked everything to be with is callie, if he leaves her now, the show will be really like an opera soap.. it will become really boring , so to the writters, plz bring Izzy and Alex back together they really deserve a chance.
as for Meredith and Derek , they have to reunit, come on if there is gona be a love triangle.. this is gona be really bad, meredith deserves to be happy for once , she’s just scared , cause she doesn’t know what happiness means, meredith is suppose to be with derek, unless Mcsteamy gets involved his cute, as for burke and chrisrina i was sad for the endding , no i didn’t like it they were suppose to get married and fight later on , but him leaving her like this, it was sad, cause she really tried to change for him, i hope in this season christina gets back to burke, Izzy and Alex, Mer and Derek, George and Callie, ..and everyone will be happy .
ok…so the whole izzie/george thing wasn’t resolved…mer is just too damn depressing..and wft, burke just left. and i thought this was a “medical drama” the last season at least was centered around a medical case….jesus
soo i really don’t get what happend with meredith and derek. I havent kept up with greys for about a month and then watched the finale and was like what??? so how did it get to that point? And I do have to agree with all of you…meredith needs a makeover, she needs some life!!
Why do we need to go to the Pod Cast in order to get an explination….isn’t that why we WATCH the show? The writers need to ake a look at what each of you have written and TRY to get back to why we all enjoyed watching the show in the first place. the writters seem to be going in circles not knowing where they are going to next.
Basically Meredith and Derek are going to be a “Rachel and Ross” type deal from Friends…they are going to be on again and off again for the remainder of the show, which yes, is very frustrating but adds a bit of excitement and fire to the show. All the twists entered the picture once we found out that McDreamy had a wife….everything basically unraveled from there–meaning the truth about Meredith’s mother and father, Weber’s relationship with Meredith’s mom, the whole Izzie and Denny relationship things, Cristina and Burke and the whole thing with her being pregnant, etc. The unraveling of the main dilemma gave leeway for the unraveling of more drama to occur.And yes, Meredith is the main character, and this is a prime time television show, which means there is going to be DRAMA, that’s the shows genre. There has to continue to be drama in the life of the main character in order for the show to attract people. What keeps the watchers returning every week to watch the show? The answer is the results or solutions to a new problem that occurred the previous week…they can’t keep Meredith flawless, that is not her character. She is scary and damaged, she does not trust men from her unbalanced relationship with her father, and she is ‘a glass half empty’ type of person. That is not going to change so keeping Meredith’s darkness to her character is essential to the show because that’s who she is, dark and twisted. What kind of twists and turns would there be to the show if Meredith and Derek were completely happy? Keeping them on again and off again is what keeps the show exciting…now I want Meredith and Derek to be together more than anything in the world. I am addicted to this show and the whole drama between the two of them drives me insane just as well, but in order to keep the show active, there has to be a rocky road with their relationship…honestly, where would the writers go if Derek and Meredith were completely happy?
i am still trying to figure out how Shonda will be able to repair the damage she has done to this show. Most especially merder, gizzie and buktina. Lexie grey- the fact that she flirted with derek is unthinkable.And i swear to God i will not be able to handle watching derek with any other girl apart from meredith. So i will watch the 1st epi of season 4 and if their is even a hint of a possibility of that happening, then i am a goner even though it will hurt like hell to let go. That way i will have only my happy memories.
Everyone had great foresight into what they think should happen. I also think that keeping der and mer in a in a off relationship is for the birds. WHY can’t they be happy the world has to much sadness in it. At least that someone be saved by someone that really LOVE them for who they are, including the good and the bad. True, der needs to get his act together, But i really believe him when he told her she was the LOVE of his life. Let her half sister meet dr mcsteamy since he gave up his friendship with dek to get his wife. he is a nasty lowdown person that needs someone to broke his heart with his useless self. I hope George comes back stronger than ever. Let the writer start on someone other than mer and der, focus on someone else to broke up and leave der and mer alone let them be happy with each other and write some good happen ending in their lives.

IT WAS VERY ROMANTIC, FUNNY ALL THE CHAPTERS WAS INTERESTING I DIDN’T MISS ANYONE WITH REAL DRAMA WITH THE SWEET LOVE HISTORY IZZIE AND DENNY AND THE OTHERS CHARACTERS WERE INTERESTING TOO.
HONESTLY, I DIDN’T LIKE THE 3RD SECOND I’M REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS SEASON!!!
I really agree with Maria’s comments. Derek and Meredeth should be together. Derek is being a mcjerk about the whole having to breathe for her. Then she goes and breathes for herself after all the drama with her jerky father and he says she’s shutting him out. Talk about Mcwhiney. He’ more like McChick these days. Get a grip and now that the race for chief is over get back to being McDreamy. I find it hard to believe it’s that’s easy getting over Denny and falling in love with George. It seems that George has slept with everyone, except Dr. Montgomery and Bailey. Come on. It was a good episode but very depressing. Nothing positive. I hope they don’t create a triangle with the Grey Girls and McDreamy.
i really hope that some how one way or another that derek and maradith stay together, if they dont, i would just be totally crushed and stop watching the show, i think you would lose alot of viewers soo please keep them together and dont let maradits slut of a half sister take derek away from her!!!!
this show was great for the frist two season then in the midle of the 3rd season it got nuts there has to be storyline that makes this show happy for most if not all of the people and dose not turn the show in to a soap please just let meredith and derek be happy.
Well we all know that Mer and Derek have been the center of attention the 1st and 2nd season….Even when poor Denny died in the finale of season 2, Everyone was still more worried about who Mer was gonna choose “McDreamy or McVet”…Now with having said that I LOVE Mer and Derek, but I like how the 3rd season wasnt all about them. Everyone was noticed.Poor George lost his dad and Christina and Burke getting engaged. And the HOT but wrong fling with George and Izzy.Shondra really spaced it out and gave everyone the spotlight through out the season.I enjoyed it BUT I still can’t get over what Burke did to Christina…HOW SAD!
And one more thing, NO OFFENCE to Pinky, But George has only been with a few. Mer beats him by a land slide..

I love GA as much as the next person but, I feel that GA needs a major overhaul. I could not care less about Mer and Der. She has serious challenges and should not be with anyone (but herself, attempting to heal her inner person). I would absolutely love to see the Chief in a major storyline. He is excellent in character and fine to look at. He does not get the attention that he deserves. But that is because, the viewers would rather focus on “dark and twisty” characters!
i think izzie and george are terrible together. George and callie are a much better couple and most of all the best couple on greys anatomy is izzie and alex.i hope they get back together in season 4.they are a match made in heaven!
