Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: The Other Side of This Life
TV Guide has revealed that the pilot episode for Private Practice will be a two-hour Grey’s Anatomy episode entitled “The Other Side of This Life”.
Snippets of interest:
- Meredith gets hit by a male character that’s close to her
- Will not focus on Addison alone
Promotional stills recently released point to Thatcher Grey (Meredith’s father) as the potential man who hits Mer.
There might also be a death?
Meredith and McDreamy might also hit some rocky waters. But they don’t look too unhappy in that picture, so I’m optimistic.

I think they should stay together! MERDER belongs together.. I just think that if he dumps her again, she`ll fall apart.. and he will too. He tried leaving her for Addison but it doest work

I don,t think that Thatcher would hit her it’s probably……..well i’m not sure but i think that Thatcher was telling Merdith that someone dies or something.

If McDreamy and Meredith split up any time soon, that would suck!…and i mean suck!!Why have all the build up between the the two if they are just going to end everything. They are the two best characters on the show and if they end it why even watch anymore!!!!

Good grief people! If “MerDer” break up OH WELL!!! At least it would be something interesting to happen. (Ok, so I would be a little upset) But it would be something! Maybe Meridiths neice died from complications after surgery. She was doing great but she was so small and defenseless?? Dunno, can’t wait to see the next new episode!

I think somwonw in Thatchers family probably dies maybe him after they have a long discussio or something, that and if Der breaks up with her she wuld really fall apart!

I think there may be a whole side to Derek that we haven’t seen yet. I mean he seemed pretty ticked off at the Chief and made no bones about it that he thinks he should be chief. The fact that he even asked Bailey indicates that he would consider dumping Meredith to be Chief. You have to be pretty determined to be a surgeon at a private practice in NY. We know work is important to him–maybe more than Meredith–it was more important than his wife of 11 years.

I don’t know who I think will die, but I think Derek and Meredith are headed toward a big fight. Everything seems to have too well for them lately. I think Derek will confront her about giving up and not fighting to swim and stay alive.

if derek thinks twice about the relationship again, i think meredith should just dump him. She doesn’t need all that drama from him again…and again….and again. i mean seriously! id be upset if they broke up(again). but it would be an interesting spin if meredith ends up questioning their relationship for a change:p

I don’t think that Derek is going to break up with Meredith. I think he thinks twice about their relationship because he can’t understand the reason why she gave up.
In abc.com Shonda says he loves her too much. He don’t know where he be in 10 years with Meredith.
So I think the upcoming episodes they will solve theese problems. No relationships are problemfree!!

I will be completely upset if they break up derek and meredith! I think it would be refreshing to see a couple love each other enough to work through all the obstacles life throws. I would LOVE to see them marry and stay in love. After all this never happens in T.V land and it’s about time!!!! Chemistry like they have should NOT be fooled with!! I think I speak for many when I say it would be the end for me if they break up again……..

This is soo riddiculious i mean cant the writters make the characters all happy for just one episode. I mean we all know that this kind of love (merDer) doesnt happen in real life soo why cant we have a great fariy tale love on a tv show!!!!

Ok, so they are making it look like Derek and Meredith are going to break up…not good. Do I think it will happen, no. Simply because they will lose SOOOO many ratings. But I think this is just Derek’s “mopy” time. I mean look, he’s been this big beam of sunshine while Meredith and been the depressed one. Now Meredith is happyish (which is really weird for her) and Derek is…shall we say deep in thought. lol
But I don’t think he’ll get Chief. I have a feeling Burke will get it.
And as for the “man that hits her” it’s gotta be her father. It the only one that really make sense. And that would suck if he died, her mother just died! Geez, give the girl a break.
Its sad the the season is coming to an end, how ever will I get through the summer!

Ok, it’s gonna suck when this season is over!!!!! I practically live off this show and i even miss my bro’s track meets to watch on thursday nights…its not like the same on fridays….and i don’t want George to leave! I mean, he is what helps to make the show…and if he leaves, then the show is in for a royal flush!!!!! If Addison goes, well, it will be ok…i guess, but it will be totally different! McSteamy might have a total broken heart and Alex might go crazy missing her too! I heard that Burke is gonna get cold feet and run out on the wedding and then leave the show…but if he does, then Christina might be so totally upset and then have to leave so she can get over him! I thought that it was completely crazy that Mer’s dad hit her and i don’t know why he went berserk on her. i mean, yah, his wife, Susan, died, but that is no reason to hit his own flesh and blood. It wasn’t Mer’s decision to have Susan die, it wasn’t anyones decision for her to die. It was Susan’s decision to have the shot for her hiccups, her decision to have her esophogus sewed up for her hiccups, and it was her decision to go through with the surgery, for her hiccups. So, if you ask me, the only fault is the hiccups. And nobody can control chronic hiccups! It make me cry when that happened because they were making such progress with talking to each other, but then he had to slap her! I also cried when Mer pushed away McDreamy when that happened! Oh boy! What is this world coming to???
