No Pay Raise for Isaiah Washington?
Reports are emerging that Isaiah Washington might be sitting out on the pay raises this year due to his homophobic slurs.
“Isaiah knows it is his fault that he may not get the fat raise he was going to get. ABC doesn’t have to give him anything. He is under contract for seven years–and this is going to cost him millions. It’s just a bitter pill he is going to have to swallow.”
A representative for Washington says, “We are going to do our business in private, not in the press.”
Ouchies.
I bet ABC doesn’t care so much about the slurs as they do about saving themselves the bucks, though. This just seems like a convenient excuse to pocket a few millions.

Isaiah is not about to go public with any complaints he may have about the raise issue. At the moment, he is on probation with the network and treading carefully. He’s fully aware that when it comes to asking for more money, he slit his own throat. Next year, however, provided he’s a good boy, watch his agents go to town to secure him a higher salary.
That’s how the game is played - it’s called Hollywood.

I’m wondering. These people get paid a LOT of money. And now it seems some of them are getting more. So, why can’t they fill a whole season with new episodes? I mean, maybe i just don’t understand; but it seems that you’ve got a large portion of the off season to do whatever it is they do when the decide to broadcast THREE WEEKS OF RERUNS. Why can’t any of these shows - not just G. A. - WORK a whole season? What if i did that on my job? Hmmm okay, yes sir you need a logo and a brochure, well here’s last month’s logo and brochure - we are not doing new ones this week. Oh but I still need to get paid in full.
Maybe my memory is faulty, but i remember as a kid in the 70s and 80s the new season was THE SEASON and the off season (the summer) was the only time you’d see reruns.

Well if Ellen got $200,000 a episode. The others came up to $125,000 a episode.
Maybe Ellen, Patrick, Isaiah, and a few more where already making in the $100,000s. Ellen, Sandra, Patrick, Isaiah where the main charactors for a while in season one.(with good storylines)
He may have got a small raise and just not being such a baby about it like Katherine.
He will mostly get a raise next season.
David I agree they need to just finish the season all shows.
