Marti Noxon Talks About “Sometimes a Miracle”

I love Marti Noxon from her days on Buffy, and it was so nice to see her name pop up on the screen during a Grey’s Anatomy episode. So if you’d like to hear her thoughts on what it was like working for Grey’s, head on over to Grey Matter to read all about it.

Okay, I’ve been trying to post to the ABC message boards today..to no avail, but I’m busting to chat with someone about the show and last night’s episode!

First, though I may not have made every tturn made in the episode and the show tthus far, this is the most delicious episodic television writing I’ve experienced. (PERIOD!)

Fascinating possibilities like Meredith’s relationship post drowning with the Chief, not to mention Derek, Addison and her sister, Christina!

Then there’s the whole, tantilizing conversation which must happen between Meredith and the little lost girl from the ferry. If she’s ever gonna talk, it’ll be to Meredith and it will be part of Meredith’s recovery and acceptance of her life and her relationships, especially with her mom and more importantly with herself.

Okay, I am way to entranced by this show. But like the plot twists and turns or not, the writing is a thing of magic for me! I didn’t think the heaven/death/afterlife scenes were cheesy…I was elated to see and hear Denny again! The whole thing of the water and giving up and meeting all the dead people in limbo was a metaphor for Meredith and all of our lives, really. Negativitiy, hurts, pains misunderstandings and fears always secretly pull at all of us. For some of us life has and does come in rapid-fire succession and you have to choose, daily, minute by minute to stay present, appreciate the good no mater how sparse or interrupted and cling to it for dear life.

Okay, enough for now. Thanks for letting me express myself. Can you tell? I really like this show!!!!

I loved the episode but was really disappointed in Marti’s post. I really wanted a little insight into the characters and the possible repercussions of Mer’s near drowning. What a letdown that the entire writer’s blog was about the writer herself this time.
