Grey’s Anatomy Spoiler: Someone Is Going to Die
Uh oh. This doesn’t sound good. According to Kristin Veitch, someone from Grey’s Anatomy is going to die in the next episode. “Someone you love is going to die. Someone huge, someone important, someone you’d think they’d never kill off.”
Could it be Meredith?
This apparently happens in the next episode!
I know there’s been some speculation already in the comments over here, but now that it seems pretty much official that one of our favorite characters is going to be killed off, what do you think?
I hope it’s not Izzie :(

I read this theory:
This is how it will play out: If Denny is going to show up, it has to be Izzy that dies. Izzie will somehow be killed. Denny will appear to tell her that it is not her time to go yet. Then, after a tearful goodbye, she will wake up and be alive again. Remember, Denny doesn’t appear in a dream or flashback and I think appearing as an angel doesn’t count as appearing in a dream.
or of course Izzie will just die….

oops..Some of my message got erased.
I had writen that some of the cast members had been abroad, some partying in New York, and not all of them had gone back to LA just yet.
Regarding Izzie, well it would make sense that Denny appears to her rather than anyone else, she could be the one that dies then comes back…but I think it is more likely Meredith…so Izzie could die next episode..but (but they seem to be casting a 12ish year old girl, very likely to play Izzie’s daughter, what would be the point of having her killed off?)

After how the last episode ended, with Meredith taking a dive into the water, you would think it could be her. BUT, how can it be her since her name is in the title of the show. Has to be someone else, although I don’t see any indication as to who it might be.

Ya that sounds about right, about Izzy dying and seeing Denny. I mean she is on the ferry boat with those guys and the boat is on fire..something will happen there…how else would they get Denny back on right, I mean..Denny is Dead, it just doesn’t seem normal for Grey’s Anatomy to just take someone back from the dead.
Meredith’s mom will probably be the one dying.

I just hope that whoever dies, it isn’t Meredith Grey. Look what happened to the OC after Mischa Barton died; The show was cancelled that same year. I love Grey’s Anatomy way to much, we need more seasons. It would suck if Izzy died too, we love her, but we could have the show, even though it might be sad, without her.

If you go back and look at last week’s previews for this week at the end of the epi, you see Cristina and Izzie standing in the ER and C buries her head in I’s shoulder while I stands there looking stunned. That could argue for Burke dying or getting hurt. I thought about the possibility of it being Mer, but if it was, the roles would probably be reversed.

They could be killing off Burke because of all the contraversy with T.R. knight.
So instead of replacing him they are killing him of, but if they do that then i will not watch the show no matter how much it kills me. If it is burke that is not enouhg reason for them to kill him off so i hope its not him! its almost wednesday wich means its almost thursday!!! oh ya the person dying this week has to be someone at the crash site.

Oh yeah, and as for Isaiah Washington, hes a great actor, maybe he just has some anger management issues. I know this doesn’t make it right, but guys call eachother by homophobic slurs all the time. He just needs to relax, but theres no way that they can do the show without any of these fantastic actors that make greys our favorite show

they shouldn’t fire burke but i think he is going to die, thats why christina is crying, then mcdreamy will have to do the surgery on ellis grey and she will die, creating a lot of drama. then, you know how elllen pompeo revealed that an intern was leaving the program? well christina will move up to become a norma surgeon.what do you guys think?

If McDreamy does the surgery on Mer’s mom and she dies, that is just going to put conflict between D and Mer. Can’t they just let them be happy for a while… forever would be great too!

Meredith can not die…she is the whole show! like wtf why would shonda do this to the fans and to the show!!! it just isnt fair! i mean i dont know if i can watch the show if meredith isnt on it and what about meredith and derek….they just got back together!! they are the perfect couple to watch. i want it to be Thursday so the suspense is over. but then again i dont want to know cuz if it is meredith i will be crushed.Please let it be hapilly ever after. but then Izzie cant die cuz she is just so funny. god,why does any1 have to die?

omg!! i can’t wait til thursday. so i was trying to think of who might die, and i have to say i think it will be izzy. i went back online and watched the previous ep. and i caught something the second time that i didnt catch the first. when izzy is working on the guy under the car, it shows him bleeding all down the car, it also shows something else leaking on the car above them, im thinking its gas. And that would explain her seeing denny again. shes one of my favs. so i hope its not, but that has to be my guess. At the end of the ep. only izzy, mer, and derek were still at the site, everyone else was back at the hospital. guess we’ll find out tomorrow.

I think Izzy is going to die, and she is going to see Denny when she dies and then they are going to bring her back…
as far as McDreamy and Mer, hes completely going to save her
and the death that sticks has to be ELis gray they completely exhausted her character what else can they do with it ya know…

Meredith will die at the end of the episode……and will be revived in the third episode. Her mother will die in the third episode. And…Derek is not the one who ultimately saves Mer. I just read this on a spoiler page.

The show can absolutely go on without Ellen Pompeo. She is not the main talent. There are plenty of people who could fill her spot with no problem. This ain’t the O.C, and she ain’t Mischa Barton. So, anyhow, If Meredith dies, they should just leave it that way, instead of reviving her. I would like to see some twists and turns in her relationship with Derek, because all that cuddly stuff will get pretty boring after a while. I also read that the two of them can’t even stand each other in real life, so they shouldn’t even BE a couple on the show.

HMMM…no! i dun think so. if meredith wasnt the main talent why would they name the WHOLE show after her, common plz! im not saying that there are not other cahracters who dun have talent. they do, and im the first to admit it. sry if this seems bitchy but meredith is the best character on the whole flippen show. so dun go dissin her and where did u get your sources from about how ellen and derek dun like eachother. if u had seen them on Oprah he was tottally infatuated with ellen!

I think what Meredith and Derek has is fabulous…the way love should be. And those two are great friends outside the show…I think Ellis is going to die…I do not think that show could last without anyone…like the “Friends” show, they mesh and mesh is good…it works! I LOVE MCDREAMY!!

I just finished watching the episode, and it ends with Meredith meeting others who died. So she does die.
And.. thats when my hopes failed.
You can’t kill off the main character, the whole show is based on her. So I came here, and I read what you said INgrid. And it makes total sense. i KNOW there gonna revive her. Its gonna be one of those “meredith sees shes dying and starts choking water” seens. Btw, Denny pops up in the end telling Meredith shes dead I believe. I think that was him. Its totally believable her mom will die next week because she has heart surgery or something soon.
THANKS SO MUCH, I was so sad when I saw Meredith dying, but you put my hopes up. Hah.

Meredith did die this episode but this is only part 2 of 3 and Meredith will be revived next week.
I think that it is Addison who saves her. So to you ppl who want Meredith to be the one who dies..sorry, she comes back next week:)

Amy, I appreciate your opinion, but I was just stating mine. There are people who work with the cast every day, so I trust that they are the ones who know which actors don’t get along. There is a such thing as pretending, and Patrick Dempsey is not infatuated with Ellen Pompeo. I did see the entire cast on Oprah, and what they were ALL trying to do was downplay all the drama that was going on. Patrick and Ellen barely even sat next to each other on Oprah. But, as I stated before, they hate working together, and they ASKED for the writer to put a twist in the relationship so that they could take a break from the love scenes. Ellen stated more than once that it’s awkward for her to do love scenes with Patrick. Some infatuation, huh???

I just watched the show!! I WILL PISSED OFF if they really kill Merideth!! She is the main charater it would just suck ass, you can’t have a show called “Grey’s Anatomy” and then take out the GREY it would just be lame!!!!!!! I don’t think I can wait anoother week to find out!!! But I like the idea of her mom dying, her mom should die, she was such a b**** to Merideth!! Any who, I am glad that others share my pain if they kill her off!!! They’ll won’t have a show and they will lose all their fans!!! LIKE ME!!!

I was not trying to offend any G.A. fans! I love the show, and I’m a huge fan myself, but I do not like Mereduth, and I do not like Ellen Pompeo. I have a right to comment also. Just because her name is in the title, it does not mean she can’t be taken off the show. I was just making an observation. I didn’t say she WOULD be off the show. IRL, Ellen is just not a nice person. She treats working class people, like MYSELF and I’m sure a lot of you are, like DOG CRAP. I’m sorry that I can’t get past that. And she does not like Patrick Dempsey, OK?? Life is not a fairy tale. People sometimes don’t get along, but he’s going to be as nice to her as possible in front of the cameras, because he has a 200,000 dollar SALARY to keep. He’s not going to trash his coworkers. The man knows how to give good PUBLICITY, and he is PRETENDING he likes everyone. He has a gorgeous wife, and has three children. I think it’s pretty clear who he is infatuated with. And stop attacking my COMMENTS. I have every right to make them. COMMENT on the show, NOT ON ME!! I’m just stating the FACTS!! BTW, Amy Alice, do you keep 24 hour surveillance of either one of them? Well first of all I just wanted to say that the show is called Grey’s Anatomy after a book that all first year medical students get that is the basis of anatomy, so the show is not named after Meredith Grey so if she did die the show could go one. That is all I wanted to say.

It is spelled GRAY’s.So it is a play on word’s.(the Title)

Thank you, Stacy!! I feel the same way. She is a main CHARACTER, but I don’t feel she is the main TALENT.There is a difference. Every book, movie, play, etc., has a main character. That doesn’t mean the actor portraying the main character is the same person who makes the story great. That’s the point I was trying to get across.

Let’s face it…they all add their own unique talent to the vibe of the show…and we love what they do! I don’t want any of them to die. Ellen is playing a role, she is an actor. She does a great job. They all do. Great writers, excellent direction…what’s not to like? However, there are a couple of new faces on Law & Order that I’d prefer to see disappear! Good shows gone bad..its a sad thing.

Just to put in a word…. if you look at the previews for next week it ends with cristina saying “try again”. Burke was in that room and i think she is saying it for him. Due to his nuerosurg….i think he throws a clot and dies!

I don’t think Shonda Rhimes would kill off Mereditih Grey. The shows centers around Meredith and Derek. She temporarilly flatlines and crosses into the afterlife. She will be brought back.

Yeah i think Mer is going to come back…I mean the OC was doing really well when it killed off Marissa and look where that got them! I heard that the death will be Mer’s mom, but they havent hinted at that or led up to it AT ALL so maybe that was wrong. The Denny/ Dylan flashback was insane though. Note to Shonda- PLEASE DONT KILL MEREDITH!!! kill callie, i never liked her…

To Libby and Amy (the girls biting each other’s heads off about McDreamy and Mer) Good grief…its a tv show. As long as the two of them make for an awesome tv relationship, who cares what goes on behind the scenes. They have their own “real” lives and this is just their job. In my opinion (if I’m allowed to state it without one of you two going off) if you are that obsessed with their relationship outside of the show (and by willing to fight online over it) you need to grow up…both of you…and maybe pull yourself into reality and out of tv land.

just for everyone to know, the name of the show doesnt have to do with meredith: “The popular TV show Grey’s Anatomy takes its name from the textbook.” Grays anatomy is a text book by a scientist who studies anatomy…
So the fact that the show is named Greys anatomy doesnt protect Mer from dieing…just something to think about

I don’t think Meredith Grey can be killed off. I don’t think that viewers would take too kindly to the death of (arguably) one of their most beloved characters. I think that everyone knows that the show would suffer immensely or flatline in terms of ratings if the main character was to die. It would not make sense for Meredith to die, not if the show has hopes of another season on ABC.

I hope that Mer does not die but if you listen to everyones comments this little drama has got everyones panties in a knot and that is what they want. Whenever they preview anything big like when Mer walked in on Derek getting out of the shower and a women was on the bed it endded up being his sister, but they wanted you to think he was cheating. That is what they are trying to do here make you think she is really going to die. Only time will tell!!! Tonights the big night can’t wait to see what happens next.

I believe that the episode where meredith merges into the afterlife was pathetic, as the show is called “Grey’s Anatomy” and clearly - meredith will never be killed off unless the show is at its completion.
That episode was a complete waste of time and definitely was not as entertaining as the episode in Season 2 involving the bomb.
Grey’s Anatomy is somewhat, turning into a soap opera - which is such a shame.
