Golden Globes 2007: Grey’s Anatomy Best TV Drama

by Ingrid Diaz on January 15th, 2007

It was another winning night for Grey’s Anatomy as the show took home a Golden Globe for Best TV Drama. Again, I say, was there any doubt? ;)

Unfortunately, Ellen Pompeo did not win for Best Actress. The award went to Kyra Sedgwick of The Closer.

Patrick Dempsey also didn’t win :( Huge Laurie of House took the Golden Globe.

Huge congratulations to all the winners!

Edited to add that Katherine Heigl also lost in the category of supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. I completely overlooked that! Thanks for pointing it out, Sarah.

Alas, the award in that category went to Emily Blunt for her role in Gideon’s Daughter. I actually loved every single actress nominated in that category, so it’s hard to be *too* disappointed. Though I still think Katherine Heigl deserves a big award. I’m looking forward to the day the Grey’s Anatomy cast get individual kudos for their performances. Here’s to hoping it’s soon.

Katherine may have not won the Golden Globe, however I notice she’s topping many Best Dressed lists and that counts for something! I am filled with admiration for her for taking her heart (and job) in hands and stating her disapproval of Washington’s backstage outburst when questioned about last October’s dustup. She’s not only beautiful, she’s ballsy as well. You gotta love her.
