Patrick Dempsey in Freedom Writers
This amazing true story is making it to the big screen on January 5th, and if you weren’t aware, Patrick Dempsey is in it. Starring two-time Oscar winner, Hilary Swank, this film (based on the bestselling book The Freedom Writers Diary) stars as Erin Gruwell, a first time teacher trying to shape, educate, and understand students caught in the middle of inter-racial wars.
Patrick Dempsey plays Scott Casey, Erin Gruwell’s love interest.
The official website popped up recently and you can access it here. It loads up the trailer. This movie looks amazing. I can’t wait to see it. Patrick Dempsey is sadly missing from the trailer on the site. But if I find a different trailer with him in it, I’ll post it here (if you know of one, or have more info, please drop me an email).

I’ve seen on IMDb that several people have screened the movie already and said it was wonderful. Looks like a great cast!

looks like a fantastic movie. looks like the type of movie that tells their story and shows their emotions.

Did you see the page they created for it on you tube called Be Heard…it has people like Common, who has the single on the soundtrack, sounding off on life issues. It’s kind of interesting all the different views on race, politics, etc. that are posted.
