Ellen Pompeo Fights Back
Despite the many claims that our beloved Meredith is too skinny, Ellen Pompeo maintains that her skinny-ness has always been a problem for her.
The 36-year-old actress admits she battles her weight - because she is desperate to put some on.
Ellen, who has just returned to UK screens in the second series of the hit show, was dubbed “pencil” at school by classmates because she was so slender.
She said: “Being naturally thin is the only body type that is not accepted.
“I get hurt when people call me skinny in the same way as an overweight person is hurt by being called fat. Some people are just naturally really big like basketball players and I’m naturally thin.
“At school I was terribly skinny. No boobs, no butt, just a skinny little awkward thing.
“Now I work out four days a week with a trainer to build muscle. People think I don’t eat which is crazy. I like cake and treacle.”
Well, as long as she’s healthy, I’m happy. :)
