NBC and FOX Reshuffle Their Thursday Night Time Slots

by Ingrid Diaz on June 29th, 2006

In a no-brainer move, NBC has decided against putting their sure-to-be-hit, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, against Grey’s Anatomy and CSI in its intended 9pm Thursday time slot. Instead, it’s moved Sunset to Mondays (smarter move) and put Deal or No Deal against the big-hit duo.

Meanwhile, FOX’s The OC which could’ve presented a different kind of competition, looks like its on its way out. Like killing Mischa Barton’s character off wasn’t already a hint of that, FOX has now ordered only 16 episodes (as opposed to its usual 25) for next season. Bye bye, Newport Beach.
