Patrick Dempsey Talks about the Grey’s Anatomy Finale
Here’s some insider (well, sort of) info from Dr. McDreamy himself:
“People will be happy with the end result,” Patrick tells ET’s MARK STEINES, who made a visit to the set to try to sleuth out some spoilers — to no avail. “It is what they want to see. We had a memo sent to us that we can’t talk about it.”
Patrick isn’t kidding that a memo came down from executive producer SHONDA RHIMES requesting that the cast and crew keep the storyline secrets. So all, Patrick would reveal is: “There are two hours left and something is going to happen between Derek and Meredith (ELLEN POMPEO).”
Whether or not that something is a reconciliation, or just a meeting to talk about Doc, their dog, he isn’t saying.

OK I’m going to be one of probably five women in American who ISN’T rooting for Meredith and Derek to get back together.
I think they make a nice looking couple. I really do. But Derek’s supposed to be working on his marriage to Addison! What happened to that? My heart goes out to Addison, who has done nothing but be understanding and supportive and patient. After a while I just want the writers to cut Addison a break, you know? Sure at first she was a b*tch but I’ve grown to really like her.
Addison’s smart, beautiful (more of a classic beauty than Meredith if you ask me) and doing everything she can to make her marriage work. Including tolerating Derek and Meredith go goo-goo eyed over each other at work!

Ditto with LipThingies. I’m not rooting for Meredith and Derek, I never had. And what Meredith and Derek did, IMO, was just wrong. What about Finn (who has plans)? And Addison? How many women do you see that will wait for their husband’s infatuation with another woman to pass? Not many, but Addison waited.
Addison is too good a character to be just a plot device so Meredith and Derek can do what they did in the finale. Sorry, but that’s what I feel the character is used for after watching it.

Derek loves Meredith. Addison is cute but Derek loves another woman. Their marriage is over.

Listen… I was so mad when meredeth and derek got together on the season finale. I was so excited for her to move on and start something serious with Finn. I just want to remoind the people who want meredith and derek to get back together that he absolutly lied to her in the beginning about being married and then he told her that he wasnt going to get back together with his wife and then he left her for addison. she was absolutly heartbroken and when she tried to move on with her life he basically called her a whore. then when she really moved on and got together with Finn, they slept together. Now derek wants her to drop everything and give him another chance. How much heartache should one girl submit to????? NOW derek has time for her and NOW derek makes her a priortiy and NOW derek wants to make a commitment. Well as far as I am concerned she should tell him he is too late. Dont get the wrong idea….He is totally hot and i drool over him every week and I like him as a person, but meredith doesnt need all the heartache
